REVISED TO TWO STARS, not four!--At first had a nice gentle effect, but a rash later developed, August 29, 2009
I'm constantly battling my hyperreactive skin (ie, can't wear most makeup, get eczema/dermatitis regularly, get inflamed from reading glasses of all sorts, etc), and though my usual Kinerase products work very well, on occasion I need something extra when I want to avoid using prescription steroid creams (which I dread using).
My "something extra" this month has been this product from Skyn.
Pros: **didn't make me react, even though it's scented. (So far, that is. Will update if I get to the reaction point) ** does calm my flaming areas ** hasn't made my cheeks break out.
I did get a huge, huge zit on my nose, the size of which I hadn't seen in almost a decade. But I don't know if I can attribute it to this lotion. Just putting that out there if you're very acne-prone.
Cons: Costs a lot and isn't a large quantity. Also, it's scented, and though the scent is very light and pleasant, I prefer no scents in my creams/lotions. Seems silly to perfume a "calming" product.
As far as the other things it promises, I don't know. I do find it soothing and non-offensive, and I hope it will be useful. But if not, I'll update.
UPDATE: After using about 6 or 7 times, this caused a dermatitis flare-up and my eyes started burning (from proximity to it being on my upper cheeks, I suppose). Ah, well. Another lotion bites the dust on my sensitive skin. I'm downgrading my star-rating to TWO STARS.
