"Pornfunk revolution has begun," cries the splashpage for Slow Nerve Action's website. Pornfunk, for the uninitiated, is a blend of hip-hop, funk, rock, and lyrics that are "pretty much to do with sex. "The Soap of Beautiful Women", was recorded and mixed in three days. Their funk rock sound took me back to the early 90's (back when bands such as Red Hot Chili Peppers and primus dominated). SNA uses the standard bass-driven melodies and spices them up with great funk guitar work. They have a positive and simple message that is backed by solid melodies, and even though that message may not be profound or even politically fueled, it still touches you where it matters most the soul.
