Overall, this game does a lot of things right with the content it provides. There are numerous Olympic Events mixed with a few fun made up games that have the ability to keep your attention and wonder for many hours. Each event has its own individual method of perfection and it will take sometime to master them all in order to get the highest score. My only complaint about the events is that they seem to demand the Wii mote more than the gamepad. When one the main selling points of the Wii U is that gamepad, why have such a mainstream game focus so much on old technology. I wanted to use the gamepad because the potential is so high. Wow........just wow........my boy made a comeback :). This game is what die hard sonic fans have been waiting for. Also, with this game, it shows the new generations of gamers why sonic is such an iconic figure in gaming. For years Sonic has been on "vacation", appearing on sad sad games with his nemisis Mario >.>. Bouncing around from game to game, making cameos, appearing on defferent games, milk cartons, and various street corners across america. Well!!! The Blue Blur has finally got off of his blue rump and put it into overdrive with this game.....*tear,sniff*, i'm so proud of you!! :D

Sega released 2 Sonic Boom titles developed by 2 completely separate teams - this is the one to get. Great classic platforming and Sonic speed, fun minigames; finally I can show my kids the kinds of cool games I played when I was growing up! Recommended for all fans of the franchise, it really looks great on 3DS.

It's finally nice to see these games released on a handheld that replicates the original SEGA Genesis perfectly. This collection includes the games Sonic 1, 2, 3, Sonic & Knuckles with their respective lock-on games as well. The original music is retained.
They did make a few changes which did tick me off:
1. The original multiplayer feature in Sonic 2, 3 and in the lock-on have been disabled.
2. In order to pause the game, you must select pause on the touch screen (can't use debug or cheats).
3. You cannot custom configure the buttons.
Aside from these problems, this is a great port for a portable system (much better than that Sonic The Hedgehog Genesis for Gameboy Advance, which was horrible!). If you wanna take classic Sonic on the go, this game won't let you down.

I had high hopes for this game and my hopes were exceeded. If you liked Mario and sonic at the Summer Games, trust me, you will like this on ten times more.
Pros
-This game has superb graphics that really get you into the winter feel
-It is not as strenuos as the first one which leaves more playing time and less rest time
-The wii motion controls are excellent whether it is skiing or speed skating you feel like you are sonic or mario
-Some of the games aren't even in the winter olymics. You may think this is a bab thing but having a snow ball fight is one of my favorite things to do in this game. use thhe nunchuck to build a snowball nd flick the wii remote to throw it

Sonic the Hedgehog used to be a huge hit for the Sega system. Now that Sega isn't a competitor any more, the GameCube has picked up this star and expanded its gameplay.
First, for normal gameplay, you now get to choose from a good or bad team instead of just one character. Each team is made up of 3 individual characters. You can be the "good guys" - Sonic, Tails, and Knuckles. Or you can choose to be the "bad guys" - Dr. Eggman, Shadow, and Rouge.
Each team through stages in their own path, and the end result of each path comes together. The stages are fun to play, as the various characters have their own styles of missions and quests.
In addition, there is also a multiplayer fighting mode. You can do an Action Race battle where four sonic-like characters (each with their own strengths and weaknesses) get ... full review

I got this game today, and while I didnt have time to go through everything this game has to offer, I did see enough to write a more positive review than the other review given so far.
This game offers about 20 different events and each of them gives great on screen instructions for how to use the Wii controller to compete at the different events. There is individual and group play. I would guess that group play could get very entertaining and competitive. In addition to that some of the events will def. get your heart rate going(All the races come to mind). Which is unique to the Wii console.
I played many of the events but the ones that I think help compare this game to something else are Ping-Pong and Shooting since both come on Wii Play. These two games are both fun and very ... full review

This game is beautiful. The new moves with the game pad give it an additional dynamic not seen before and keep you wondering what you might see next. As for those who compare it to Mario Galaxy, with the flying between platforms, this was done in Sonic Adventure long before. A truly great Sonic game.

I preordered this game seeing this as a golden chance for the hedgehog to finally have a good game. Here are my thoughts.
Once again like the last sonic game Unleashed for the Wii you have a choice between using 3 different control schemes. The Wii remote/ Nunchuk, Classic Controller, And Gamecube controller. So far i have only tried out the Wii and Nunchuk and i believe this game is the game alot of sonic fans have been waiting for. It adds all the elements that people loved about the day time stages in sonic unleashed and takes it now into space against Dr. Robotnik's badniks robots and a amusement park that has everything from shiny colors to even a foot planet that will make you hungry. I believe this game is a step in the right direction for not only old sonic fans but even new sonic fans. ... full review
