I love, love, LOVE this stuff. I used to drink it in college when I didn't have time between class and my internship to sit down and actually eat lunch... I used to drink a cup on the way to wherever I was going. Now I'm drinking it after workouts to replace a meal (usually with some fruit or veggies and dip on the side).

More recently I've tried less expensive protein shakes that you find in the grocery store. Notably Designer Whey and the one that has Jillian Micheals on the packaging. First I must point out that those are both pretty much just whey protein where Myoplex Lite offers more complete nutrition so maybe it's not apples to apples, but regarding taste and consistency, Myoplex Lite blows those out of the water. It's not too sweet and the vanilla flavor is rich and natural tasting. These shakes also have a wonderful thick, creamy consistency and are very filling. The vanilla also blends great with a ton of other ingredients to add variety. I'll list some suggestions below.

Lastly, I'm thrilled to find this on Amazon.com for less than it costs in stores. It's around $48 or so at GNC!

Here are some fun flavors to try:

-Add cinnamon or pumpkin/apple pie spice
-Green tea powder
-Strawberries and bananas (always a classic)
-Peanutbutter and bananas (Elvis's favorite)
-Chocolate (cocoa powder) and mint (extract or fresh mint leaves)
-Pina Colada (coconut water and pineapples)
-Mocha (cocoa powder and instant coffee)
-Banana nut (bananas and walnuts)

Those are just a few.... get creative!

I just ordered these again, last summer I went for 3 months replacing meals with these shakes along with working out 3x a week, I lost 10 lbs and maintained is easily with these and EAS AdvantEdge Caramel Choc. bars. The Chocolate Cream is the best flavor!! In my opinion, Straw & Vanilla are good too, but Choc is the best. There are some packs out there that offer the Tropical variation-When I was first trying out these shakes I got that one-my opinion, DONT! Ick, theres maybe 1 kind that tastes OK out of them all. Orange Jubilee was OK, Banana Cream Pie and Pina Colada were just way too sweet and weren't as great as the Chocolate flavors. As much as I love Amazon, there are some cheaper prices out there (AllStarHealth)......

Also, if you're looking to lose weight these are the best, however, most guys need a little more protein, so look into the DELUXE or ORIGINAL Myoplex shakes, they have 46g of protein vs these Lite ones (26g). You can always have half the pack if you're really cuttin down, but just FYI since my boyfriend starting drinking them and needed more protein as he started to work out more...he got the Deluxe.

I mixed this stuff with nonfat milk and had it for lunch everyday for 3-months and I lost 50-lbs. The chocolate cream tastes really good. Vanilla isn't bad either. I don't like stawberry.

The thing about this one is that it is tolerable by itself...unlike most other protein shakes...but if you put one scoop of peanut butter and crushed ice in it, the taste improves like 1000%. Do it. Do it now.

A close friend of mine directed me to this when I tossed around the idea of a liquid diet and I am so very thankful she did.

I followed a pretty strict routine of what I would eat and when to replace a meal with the shakes. My typical day isn't "normal" with waking up in the morning, going to sleep by 10-11pm so I was worried how to adjust a fair eating habit into my daily life.

On a normal day for ME, I wake by 12'ish noon & would have my first shake within the hour. Around 5pm I would have my 2nd shake. Between 9-10pm I would have my last shake.

After an hour of each shake I would snack on something light. A cucumber, or a low fat yogurt, sometimes a serving of wheat thins. Sometimes it would be fruit, usually berries or a banana along with a serving of true moo low fat milk.

From March 2011-March 2012 I managed to go from 287 pounds to 185 pounds. I started off in a size 44 waist and now am happily wearing a 34 waist jean.

Along with the change in eating habits I also attempt to get exercise into my schedule. 3-4 days out of the week I go bike riding, work with free weights, a treadmill, sit ups, etc. NOT all at once, but I tend to break it up as to how I AM feeling and what I want to do.

I absolutely LOVE this product and am very thankful to my friend for directing me to it.

I maintain a 60-70g protein diet and YES occasionally I do indulge (now) in something nice, a treat if you will.

One thing I noticed, I get SO full so quickly when I do eat meals.

Currently I normally eat when I wake up, 60% of the time I will eat a healthy dinner and finish with a shake by 9-9:30pm. Maintaining the small meals in between.

And WATER, I drink tons of water & avoid anything with high sodium & sugar.

This product worked wonders for me, but it also falls on you to put the effort into it, research, speak to your doctor, get advice from your doctor and do what is healthy for you!

This is the best meal replacement powder I've ever used. If you use this along with an aggressive resistance program you will see and feel your body become more muscular and lean. By far the best tasting and mixing as well.
DISCLAIMER: If you order this product,,,you will not get the box shown !!!!! You will get the old box and product with the 20G protein, not the new box with the 24 grams of protein as shown. Over the past 3 months I have ordered 2 boxes,,,,both times I got the old product with the 20G protein. Today (4/19/12) I received another box,,,,got the old stuff again. I called Supplement Warehouse to complain,,,,,they said that the manufacturer sent over the ad picture for the new stuff,,,,but still haven't sent the actual new product. I asked them why they continue to show the new product in the picture with the 24G protein when they are still selling the old stuff with the 20G protein,,,,,,,,,unbelieveable!
Anyway,,,,the old stuff is still worth the price,,,,,,,just wanted to warn everybody about what you'll actually get. I can only hope and wait that the new product will actually go into effect soon.

I mix mine with about 4 oz of apple juice and 8-10 oz of water.(**TIP: sometimes I substitute some water for a splash of pomegranate juice for extra sweetness and powerfull antioxidants!!) I also throw in about 4 frozen strawberries, and 1/2 banana. It's honestly a great recipe. I tried to mix it how it says on the packet, but I think using the milk makes it way too thick. I highly recommend this product to anyone!!! I promise you'll love it. I've only tried the vanilla flavor, I like it too much to try anything else, plus, I think you can add so many other flavors to it.

This is a great product, I liked the way it taste and the versatility of the different things you can add to it to make it taste even better. I think it's a very healthy drink and it curbs your appetite for a good while. It's great when you are in a hurry and can't fix a meal. I would recommend it to others.

I've been purchasing this product for a year at a local retail store. It's very pricey,$55.00 before tax, and looked forward to finding it on sale which was rare. I found it on Amazon for $20.00 less and recieved it within a week. From now on when i need anything I'm checking Amazon first!!!

This meal replacement powder was on sale with some coupon, so why not. I have tried EAS products before, and their vanilla formula was never I taste I looked forward (maybe EAS is an acquired taste). I wanted to see if EAS improved their formula. But EAS vanilla still tastes the same.

In case nobody noticed, one MYOPLEX serving(packet) size is 54 g which might explain why one server MYOPLEX has less calories than one 72g serving of MET-Rx, http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B003Q5J4XU/

Also comparing Nutrition Facts EAS MYOPLEX has 24 g carbohydrate to 20 g protein.
EAS MYOPLEX fat/protein ratio is 1.5 g/ 20 g = 0.075 g fat / 1 g protein.
MET-Rx fat/protein ratio is less!! 2g / 38g = 0.0526 g fat / 1 g protein.

Sorry if this review comes off as a little negative.. This feedback is only relative to my experience with many other brands I've tried.
