It's well made, fits me just right, and I like the unique light green color that I ordered.

I received the size I ordered (labeled on the garment as L/G/G). For the benefit of readers I spread the garment out flat on our dining room table and made some measurements of the garment that I received:

Shoulder seam to end of sleeve: 25 3/8"
Shortest distance between top of shoulder seams: 21 3/4"
Highest point of neck down to bottom: 29 1/2"
Width across bottom: 22 3/4"

This was the standard marketing men's size L for t-shirts about 20 years ago, before the worldwide 'overweight epidemic'. Nowadays, almost all men's t-shirts with the above dimensions are labeled as M. So I was taking a chance in hoping that Hanes would retain the old sizing standard. Glad I did.

Moreover its unique color (a light shade of green) matched the ad's photo image quite well. I've never seen this color available in brick-and-mortar retail stores. I don't like loud colors in my clothing. Moreover, I like to project my interest in the outdoors. So this particular color really fit the bill for me. It makes a great match with either black or blue jeans, and especially with khaki pants.

I've rounded my rating to 5 stars, but my actual rating is 4.5 because the shirt doesn't included one chest pocket, which I prefer.

A little thicker and warmer than I expected. Surprisingly nice quality. You might want to buy a size larger than usual though, because they do run a little small. For instance, the large fits me like a medium usually would.

I've been wearing Haynes long sleeved Beefy-Ts for over 20 years. Sometime in late 2012, Haynes switched from tagged (i.e., the white label showing the shirt size) to tagless (think decal) shirts. At the same time, for some unknown reason, they changed the sizing/cut of their shirts. Now their large which I've worn for years, is too big! In addition, their medium is too small at the sleeve. For years men's clothing sizes were always consistent. A Haynes large was the same as an Arrow, Etc. Now each manufacturer has different versions, except for Haynes which retained their consistency. Now they've crossed over with poor inconsistent quality. "If it's not broke, don"t fii it" Haynes, why did you "fix it"? The good news is I found Gildan shirts fit like the old Haynes, bye bye Haynes!

I just received my t-shirts in deep red and they looked enormous. I washed and dried on hot and they thankfully shrunk a size. Now they fit just right. Also, these shirts are color fast, no fading on hot water, and will not fade if washed in cold or warm water. After spending 40 years in high end retailing, these shirts are made remakedly well for the price. The neck and shoulders are taped and double stitched. Since the fabric is knitted in a continuous circle there are no side seams -this is a good thing. Only seams are arm holes and shoulders. I am using these shirts for layering during the winter. I will order more LS and SS in the furure.

I would have given it 5 stars if you could love a t-shirt. Like it, sure, love it, too strong a word for a t-shirt.
I suggest ordering one size up since 100% cotton does shrink. And, you won't have to worry about throwing it in with the rest of your laundry the first few washes. I got these to wear under a wet-suit like product for exercise to absorb the sweat. It works perfectly for this purpose and is also good as an under layer in sub zero winter weather. Makes for a nice soft base layer. No need to continue writing (or reading tons) about this, if you need a long sleeve t-shirt this will work fine for you.

For me, this is how a T-shirt ought to be. Yes, it was a wee roomy before it was washed in hot water and put through the dryer. It's all cotton, therefore, it's no surprise that it shrunk a little. The fabric is just right, absorbent and substantial...not that too soft, wussy cheap feel.

I got a large (I wear a medium) just because it's cotton and I figure it might shrink. Well, it did shrink -- much more than I expected. Probably next time I would get an ex-large, just because I like them roomy, expecially for exercise.

I wear Medium in just about everything but this shirt is a bit too snug. Quality of shirt is nice though, as you'd expect from a Beefy-T.

Good heavy long sleeve shirt. Very warm. I wear it around town with a t-shirt on under it and it keeps me just as warm as my thermal long sleeve t-shirt.

I would imagine anything made of 100% cotton is liable to shrink, common sense will tell you that. To reduce shrinkage, wash in cold water only and dry at lowest heat setting in your dryer, better yet, dry outdoors on a clothes line. I have to wear the black colored ones for work and so far after multiple washing, no fade in the color.
I take size Medium and when I bought them they looked awfully big, but after the first washing, they fit perfectly. I do think Hanes allows for the shrinkage.

Highly Recommended
