If you read my original review. I was not too happy because I received my Miele S7 Tango Elite series vacuum cleaner and the manufacturer's box was all beat up. The styrofoam was all broken up, and the box had been re-taped, and to make matters worse, the accessories that only come with the Elite series S7 (microset and flexible crevice tool) were missing!
This led me to question whether or not my vacuum was used or not.
Without giving it any further thought I was going to just return the vacuum.
The very next day I got a call from Sam. A very professional young man who works for Vacuum-Direct. He was very concerned and apologetic regarding what had happened. When they ship their product to be fulfilled by Amazon in Amazon's warehouses they ship them in corrugated boxes so the boxes stay in good shape. They did not even know Amazon was slapping the UPS labels right on the manufacturer's box.
Todd the owner / manager of Vacuum-Direct also followed up. He was also very sincere and very professional. He gave me all the options and turned a bad experience into a great one. I can't say what they offered for my troubles, but it was extremely generous and they are also sending me the missing accessories. For anyone that is worried about buying this vac online due to the reviews of those who falsely claim that Miele won't honor the warranty... rest assured...Vacuum-Direct is a "Diamond" level Miele authorized dealer. The 7 year warranty is in full effect. Thanks Todd (and Sam) this kind of customer service makes a difference these days.

We bought this vaccum in January because it had good ratings. Instead, we found it was an overpriced piece of junk that did a lousy job vaccuming until it completely died in October. We have submited a request for service to Miele but they have done nothing and don't appear to support their product. Save your money - buy a different brand.

This is also a large and bulky vaccum - my wife never liked it and found it too heavy.

Update 12/13/10: Now Miele is giving us excuses about service because we bought from Amazon.com (a non-authorized distributor) - their local dealer refused to service the vaccum. This company has absolutely horrible service and does not seem to want to honor their warranty. Avoid them. Our old Dyson vaccum at least lasted five years and cost $350 less.
