zildjian has always made excellent product, but on these cymbals i have to be honest ,i think they sound kind of bellish and the bell keeps ringing long after the hit. what i did like was the high hat cymbals .i thought they sounded right .maybe i should of gotten the thinner set. thanks

First off, the first thing that pops out at this. 5 brand new cymbals (hi-hat counting as 2)for just over 300 dollars? That's a crazy good deal. When I was 11 years old I bought this cymbal pack to start out with my Gretsch Catalina Maple drum set. I was thrilled to have these on my set. However, these are in no way high brand cymbals, they are just perfect for learning, and even playing a few gigs. The 16" crash cuts through the sound with a nice clean attack and fairly fast decay. The 18" crash (The free one) Is a great cymbal to rock out some thrashy beats on. It has a nice sustain and is pretty d*mn loud. The hi-hats are just fine both open and closed. The only problem is that the ride cymbal doesn't have a very good attack. It kind of just mixes together with all the other sounds. It also rings for a while, but that doesn't matter as much when playing in a band. I'm writing a review on this because this year, the two crashes and hi-hat are completely broken, but for 3 years worth of beating the absolute crap out of them, the served there purpose. I will happily give this set a 4 star. Please, if your starting out drumming, or you even just want a solid set of cymbals for just about the smallest amount of money out there. Good luck to you all, and get ready to find your new love.

The ride sounds sharp and clean on the bell and low and with good sustain on the edge. The hi-hats are clear, with good cut and sound good open or closed. The crashes are loud and have a good strong tone.

Bought for my son...he likes them. He is only disappointed that they dent a little too easily. Otherwise he is happy with the quality.

I had bought a drumset for my youngest daughter which included the cymbal stands, but no cymbals. I didn't have a clue as to what brands of cymbals were good, but when we saw the picture of the drummer from Blink182 endorsing these cymbals, we thought we would go for it. These cymbals are great! Their sound is perfect and included an extra cymbal. Yeah, thanks alot for that as I then purchased another stand so my daughter would feel her drumset was complete!

One word to describe these cymbals, terrible. They ring out way too long. After you hit it, it rings for another minute. Its not what I was expecting. Pay more money for Sabian B8s or Meinl classics
