I got these pants just in time for the NEMO blizzard. I stayed totally dry while out shoveling and trekking around in 28 inches of snow. They didn't create excess warmth and seem durable enough for some sports. Even though they are listed as 'SHORT' they aren't too short. My inseam is 30 inches and these would suffice to 31 or perhaps 32 inch inseam. I bought the Large which fit comfortably over my 33 inch waist jeans without being too baggy. The leg openings open up wide enough to go over heavy snow boots and cinch up tight with adjustable velcro tab. I shopped around quite a bit and could have spent a lot more money for pants that I will only wear probably a dozen times a year. I expect these to last for many years.

I sail, and sometimes sailing can get wet.
I wanted something that I could pull over jeans or sweatpants that would keep me dry.
This works really well.

Is it a substitute for full-on 'foul weather bib-trousers'?
Well, no. But it costs a fraction of that gear.

One thought for boat owners:
Having a pair or two of these overpants on board could make life easier for 'newbies' on board.

Yes, I would recommend these to my friends and family.

My husband loved these rain pants as he usually has trouble with pants being too long. These were the only ones we found with a short length. The one thing he missed were pockets. This only has one zipper pocket. They fold up into a pouch which then fits in a carry on or backpack.

I bought these pants because I am a technician and my work sometimes requires me to work in unsavory weather living in Florida and all. This is one investment I am glad I made. These pants are great! The zippers down by your ankles allow for easy on and off in fast pace situations. The pants breath very well. I only wish I had found the proper jacket for these pants. They are very durable for working and could even come in handy as part of a rain suit for riding my Harley. Buy these pants, you won't be disappointed, as long as you get the right size. Comes with a nice little pouch that the pants fold into for easy carry and storage.

These are absolutely great, especially considering the low price. They are, as far as I've been able to tell from a few uses, very well made, sturdy and handy for many purposes. I've used them skiing and on a rainy hike and so far have performed well!

I bought these pants for a trip to Alaska. They are very good basic rain/wind pants.

Before buying I checked on sizing and was told:

Small, Waist 28-30 inseam 29 inches
Medium, Waist 30-34 inseam 29 inches
Large, Waist 34-36 inseam 29 inches
X-Large, Waist 38-40 inseam 29 inches

I bought the medium and they fit fine over my pants. The waist has elastic, so there is a little stretch there if needed.

The 29 inseam proved to be a bit too much, so that I would not have to turn the bottom an inch I bought a pair of inexpensive clip-on suspenders and used them to hold the bottom of the leg off the ground. This worked very well and the suspenders were hidden by my jacket.

There is one pocket, zippered, on the right leg between waist and knee. A flap cover the zipper. It is a fairly large pocket so that you can easily carry a wallet, point and shoot camera or whatever is desired that is about that size.

Most importantly, these pants do a good job of keeping the water out. It has an elastic waist band so you can fit it over your regular clothes. It has a pocket at the knee with a flap covering the zipper which is probably useful for something. I haven't had occasion to use it, i just keep things in the pants i wear under these pants. Although I suspect anything in that pocket would stay dry. They can get swampy in warm weather. I think some other reviewer stated that for them to breathe, there has to be a temperature differential, and that seems to be true. As long as its a chilly rain, you can walk around and stay dry and cool.

It also comes with a storage bag which is not all that useful but it is a thing. I think they can also be self-packed into its own pocket as well. The pants are thin and light, which makes them easy to pack. They are a good deal too. You can't ask for much more than that.

As s teacher with outside car duty, these are great for rainy days. I bought them big to pull over my regular clothes. I'm 5' 4" and I have to roll the waistband over but it sure beats walking around all day in wet clothes. They are thin but that works well for me in the SC heat. They fold back into a small storage bag that I keep at my desk. I wouldn't mind having a second pair to keep in my sports bag for those pop up showers at sporting events.

These pants are just about what I expected ; Lightweight, basic rain-pants. Nothing Heavy duty, but works fine for bikerides and wet bush tromping. No rips so far, but they are pretty light duty and would not be surprised if they do. Drawstring for a good adjustable fit... I wear 33x32 for pants usually, and the large is perfect.
