I bought this television for under $200 and it was a great bargain for its size. The picture is good, but I am disappointed with the sound quality. The volume is limited and the speakers get overwhelmed very easily. If you're willing to put in some additional speakers, then this is a great television.

We purchased this TV in February, 2011. We have had several issues since. The TV developed a band on the left side of the picture about 2" wide. I called about this in June. We went through a series of tests to insure it was the TV and not the cable signal. We "reset" the TV and the band went away. At that point, I was told I would receive an email extending my warranty for 3 months and giving me a number to call about Aquos service. I never received that email. A couple of months later, the band was back. I reset it again and the band went away. Now, the band is back. It is bigger and sometimes the TV picture appears scrambled for upwards of 15 minutes before it settles out. My wife called about this issue and was told if we wanted to return the TV, we would have to go through Amazon, but it is out of the return window for Amazon, so we asked to have it repaired. I received the email with instructions on how to get the TV in for repair. Interestingly enough, those instructions state that I have to pay for shipping and insure the TV to send it to SHARP. I am not sure how this factors into a 1-year warranty. The product has been sub par more than it has worked properly. Thus far, the customer service has been the same. Paying to pack, ship, and insure a 22" LCD TV would probably cost me more than the TV is worth. When it worked, the picture was good. The problem is that it hasn't worked much. I know this happens, but the customer service of Sharp is what really bothers me.

I bought this TV for my Mom's kitchen to replace her old one (it was a 15-year-old CRT-style TV). I'm pleased with the quality of it in almost every way. First of all, it was easy to get out of the box and set up on its stand and hook up to the cable and the DVD player. It looks sleek and has great color and sharpness. My only complaint is that if you are right under it, the screen is quite dark. I guess this is standard for this kind of TV, a limited range of visibility. Other than that one tiny issue, it looks great from every place in the room and Mom loves it. For the money it was a good bargain and we really enjoy it.
