I really looked forward to getting this watch. I read other reviews about the MK tortoise and they were really positive so I kept returning to the picture and description, got my best deal, and pushed submit. I had to wait 10 days for it to arrive (not speedy shipping...it came FedEx), and I ripped open the box just to say, "Ick." I wear substantial watches and my favorites are my ceramics. This watch weighs nothing. The tortoise plastic, while a nice deep color, is very flimsy/cheap. The buckle is lightweight, thin and bendable in your hand. It closes with a tiny peg that fits into a hole and shows no durability whatsoever. The "rose gold" stripe on the bracelet makes the bracelet look too thin for the face, and the "glitz" around the face is very cheap-looking and detracts from what I hoped would be an upscale, clean, Hamptons sort of vibe. The rose gold-tone bezel is also thin and looks more like the foil on a Hershey kiss than real metal. I expect that prices will plummet on this as more and more people find it as tacky as I did. So Michael Kors, this would be a Project Runway wipeout!

I first saw this watch in a department store and thought it was strikingly beautiful. The crystal bezel adds a sparkle. The contrasting tortoise shell band and rose gold really complement each other. I have gotten lots of positive compliments whenever I wear this watch. I would recommend it to anyone who likes a little bling. I have, since, bought 3 other Michael Kors watches. They are all gorgeous.

Not sure what type of watches the other women is used to wearing, but I love this watch. You cannot bend any of the metal, I like the fact that it is not too heavy, but the bevel feels substantial. I am not used to crystals around the face and while this is a little bigger and "flashier" than what I am used to, it looks nice, like many of the other Michelle watches and I have received SEVERAL compliments on it and I have had it a little under a month. A good price at $199, I initially tried it on at Bloomingdales, where it was $250.

The positives first:
I love the way this watch looks. I purchased it to compliment a Le Vian ring that my husband gave to me last Christmas and they go together perfectly. I love the brown and rose gold together and I get so many compliments on it. It really is a lovely watch. It doesn't LOOK cheap. I also chose it because compared to the watches with the solid metal bands, this one is very light. One of the lightest watched I've ever owned and I really like that about it. Visually this watch is gorgeous. Just enough bling but not too gaudy, even for me and I typically only like simple jewellery.

Now for the negatives:
I purchased this watch on a cruise ship in April and paid well over what Amazon's price is. I didn't mind though because it was a souvenir of my trip. That is until a couple of days after I got home from the cruise. This watch has a stop watch feature (the small middle dial right above the 6) and I noticed that the hand on it was no longer pointed straight up to the 60 second mark. Instead it was behind the 60 by a couple of seconds. I could turn it on and let it run for a bit and stop it but every time I reset it, the hand would spin around the stop watch and pass the 60. I noticed this problem 6 days after purchasing the watch. We contacted the company and were told that we had to send the watch out for repair. I was not thrilled because I just spent over $200 on a watch and got to wear it for less than a week. So, I didn't send it out right away. I wore it for a couple of months first. But as I wore it, that stop watch hand fell further and further behind the 60 second mark until it was almost to the 45 second mark. I realized that I had to get the watch fixed as the problem was clearly getting worse. So, we bundled it up in the Michael Kors box it came in and sent it off to be repaired.

I don't remember how long it took for them to fix it but it wasn't an unreasonable amount time. Then we got the watch back. In a flimsy, padded envelope. No box. Just my $200+ watch wrapped in a single sheet of bubble wrap and slipped into a tiny, semi-padded envelope. (In the company's defense, the email they sent to my husband did say NOT to send the original box. we didn't notice that. I was sad I didn't have my box anymore but that wasn't why I was upset. The watch could have been sent in better packaging without them returning the original box.)

But even after they had "repaired" it, the watch was experiencing the same issue. So, the company said to send the watch back and they would send me a new one. WOW! What great customer service! So, we bundled it up and sent it back in.

A little while later we got a package in the mail. When I opened it, it was a Michael Kors watch box! I eagerly opened it only to find that...it was empty! They sent me a new box, but without the watch. Ok. Where was the watch? Oh yeah. It arrived yesterday and was again wrapped in a sheet of bubble wrap and put in a padded envelope. A brand new watch shipped like that, without the box and the box sent separately. I don't get it. Seems foolish to me. But Ok. I looked the watch over and it LOOKED GOOD! Stop watch hand in its proper place and everything. So I put it on this morning and went about my business, problem solved, finally happy about investing in this watch. Right?

Wrong. I have been wearing this watch for just over 2 hours and what have I noticed? The stop watch hand is now 5 seconds behind the 60. I really can't believe it. I run it, stop it and reset it and it resets to 5 seconds behind the 60. Needless to say, I will be contacting the company again.

You know, there are probably few times when I will need the stop watch feature. But that isn't the point. This watch was not cheap. For this issue to continue to occur and to occur on 2 different watches is unacceptable. I guess some may say to just ignore it or whatever but then why is that stop watch even there? Why put it there if it isn't going to work properly? It is driving me nuts. I feel like I spent my money on something that is a bit of a sham, you know, smoke and mirrors, don't look too closely or you'll see the flaw.

I am writing this review because I don't think that I could have gotten the only 2 watches of this style to experience this problem. If both watches I have had have the same issue, it is safe to say that other ones will as well.

If this issue had been resolved with the new watch arriving, then I would have highly recommended it. But as it stands I cannot. Unless the issue I described wouldn't bother you, then I think you could be satisfied with this watch.

This was a very good value and wonderful opportunity. I was in a bit of a time crunch to purchase this and receive it in time as a graduation present. I was able to contact the seller, who helped monitor the order to make sure I had received the item, via over night shipping, so I could travel to the graduation, with the gift in hand. Thank you so much for making it happen and at a wonderful price. Continued success to your outstanding jewelry business and amazing customer service.

I got this watch a couple of months ago, and I must say, it looks a LOT better in person than it does online. I was a little hesitant to buy it because, while I liked it, online it looked VERY gaudy and sort of "snooky" looking.

The watch itself is very pretty and serves its purpose. The only thing that I am concerned about is that I took it to a jeweler and they refused to adjust it (at first) because it is ceramic and according to them, "Built like crap, very breakable, and not worth owning". That said, they eventually fixed it for me, but unfortunately the links are just big enough that if one more is removed, it is too small, and if one more is put in, it is far too large.

But it is a BEAUTIFUL watch. And I got it here for WAY less than the price is listed right now. Keep your eye on the price and watch for it to drop. It's currently 194, the other day I saw it for $230, but I got mine for $170

This watch is more beautiful in person than in the photo. Was looking for gold tone, but the rose gold of this watch was a very light rose gold, not too pink. Very versatile.

Upon initial glance this watch appears sporty because of the basic tortoise construction. Then a closer look reveals the rose gold and the sparkle of the crystals, even on the face. It dresses up or down, and goes especially sharp with tortoise rim sunglasses. Easy to tell time at a glance and comfortable to wear. A good size, not too large like some of today's fashion watches. I have received many complements on this time piece, and it goes with many types of outfits and different colors. Just a good all around watch.

This watch is gorgeous. I was hesitant to purchase because other people said it was cheaply made but they're completely wrong. I wear this watch daily and no peeling as previously mentioned. I've been wearing it all day for 10 days and it's completely fine. I've even hit my hand into things by accident and it hasn't gotten scratched up. I definitely would recommend this to anyone who's iffy on purchasing it.
