I imagine that a young Muhammad Ali would have boxed his butterfly best in a pair of these light as a proverbial feather shoes... I'm a Minimus girl, and these are the shoes for two key occasions, wait make it three: 1) when I'll be on my feet standing all day, not walking around like normal, these have a wider base to distribute my weight across and stabilize balance that the WT10s usually maintain just fine... except when standing prolonged periods with minimal motion... 2) when my feet are swollen in particular or just dead-tired (past reviews highlight the busted-upness of my feet that I won't repeat) and 3) when my situation, be it heath, pain, or where I'm going, call for wearing my ankle braces, which thankfully are a mix of all-local(right outside Seattle, hurrah!) molded/cut/stitched neoprene and velcro and the harder L shaped inserts that keep my ankles pretty robot-like... Minimus shoes CAN be made loose enough and are fine if I'm JUST doing the neoprene+velcro, but the plastic thingy that goes almost to my toes makes them awfully bizarre looking! These are pretty wonderful for that--they are obviously fatter but still balanced well and fine when I tie them tight--I do wear thicker socks, though, much of the time. Still, they're so lightweight and look quite cool--I like the honeycomb thing they did with many kids' shoes (now, to be fair, they do, for actual kids, have an option of friendly monster faces on your feet!). In any case, they are fit for a stumbly kid on the playground OR a stumbly adult, too!
