Vine Customer Review of Free Product( What's this? )
In this video I show you how to set up the game, and a few of my gameplay attempts.

+ PROS:

+ New version of the classic game

- CONS:

- Platform is not level (I uploaded a picture to the "Customer Images" section)
- Detonator goes off at random
- Too quick, not fun for more than 2 players

Basically this is Jenga played on platform that knocks your tower down just when the game is starting to get good. I love Jenga, but Jenga Boom is horrible.

In Jenga, each player removes a block and places it on the top of the tower, making the tower progressively more unstable. The excitement and challenge builds as the tower gets taller and more unstable. Finally, the game ends when the loser knocks the tower over.

In Jenga boom, you get a few turns to remove blocks and then when you think it might just start to get challenging, the base "explodes" knocking your tower over. There is no satisfaction, the loser and winner is arbitrarily determined.

It feels much like when you play a good game of Jenga but there are young kids around and then just when the game is getting good, the kid comes by and knocks your tower over. Then you regain your composure, rebuild your tower, and start the game over. Then it happens again. Finally, you decide to quit playing Jenga until there are no kids around. Well that's what happened to us. We finally decided that the Boom base was so obnoxious to game play that we put it away and played a few games without the base.

If you want Jenga, get The Original Jenga. You will save money and get 54 blocks for a bigger more fun tower rather than the 36 in Jenga boom.

The Jenga Boom game is probably not the version of Jenga for those who want to play this game at a slow and steady pace so that they can mull their next move carefully over time. Indeed, the Jenga Boom edition of the Jenga game adds a constantly ticking timer with a start and stop button to the process of pulling blocks out of the Jenga tower. Basically, to begin the game (after assembling the tower), you pull the string that runs the timer to its fullest extent, then let go, starting the timer. Next, the first person rushes to pull out a block then presses the stop button to finish their turn. The next person then presses the start button and hurries to take a block out then presses stop to signal the end of his or her turn. Play continues this way until either the tower collapses under its own weight or the timer runs out during someones turn. When the timer runs out the platform the Jenga tower is standing on collapses and that person is declared the loser. I should note that the tower collapses in a safe manner and that the timer and controls seem to be designed to last. If you would like to add a little more excitement to the game of Jenga, I highly recommend this game; the Jenga Boom Game is a lot of fun.

The cool packaging attracted my 10 year old to this for Christmas. Kind of a lame game however. They put a timer in the game, big deal?! When the game is supposed to "explode" it just kinda shakes the pieces causing the tower to slump over and fall apart. I was hoping for some serious explosion!

Bought this as a Christmas gift for my mother to play with the grand-kids and it is a HUGE hit. They love it. Jenga is fun as it is, but when you have the uncertainty of when it is going to blow up and it makes the game move fast. Only problem i had with Jenga original is it was very slow paced, people would take breaks, this keeps the game moving! Lots of fun. great spin an already fun game

This is the perfect game for little boys!!!
My 5 year old adores playing with this. He builds and explodes! And plays - WATCH OUT!!! its gonna blow!

We have yet to actually play it as the real game though! I didn't buy it for that purpose. But we have played Jenga in the past so it was same nice quality if you actually want to use that game.

But this give my little son lots of fun moments!

I'll admit that as a fan of the original Jenga I was skeptical of this tweak. However, as a father of two boys I gotta say Jenga Boom has provided hours of entertainment for the family. At first, they would build the tower just to see it go 'boom'. But then they got into the competitive aspect of playing Jenga but with more concentration (awareness of the timer and needing to carefully remove blocks).

It seems gimicky and a one trick pony but the concept and execution actually works. I recommend this highly.

I love playing Jenga Boom over the regular Jenga game because it makes everyone take their turn much faster and ends the game much more quickly. Its cute for a boy or a girl. Perfect price for a friend's birthday present.

It's not very tall and the timer always goes off way too fast. So fast that you don't even have time to actually play Jenga and enjoy it. go with the original and you won't be disappointed. It works though, I guess.

As the title states. The clip that resets the device is very flimsy and the slightest touch will set it off. This means that it won't bear the load of the blocks without discharging the spring to make the devise make the blocks fall. Soooo as it is engineered right now it's not worth the money.
