Great screen protector. After a day or two the residual film wore off now I can't even tell a screen protector is on my iPhone. A tip on installation, I put the tech armor on my phone underneath my stove hood vent to have dust drawn up, not one speck of dust got under my screen protector. Did this for both my wife's and my iPhone.

Before this protector, I had a standard glossy screen protector. I could not see the screen at all in bright sunlight. The screen was a mess of streaks and fingerprints.
Unlike some other reviewers, I had no problem following the manufacturer's instructions. I successfully got it installed on the first try.
I find that this protector makes the screen viewable in bright sunlight. It's not perfect, but a significant improvement over zero visibility with the glossy protector. It is also very good at minimizing the finger prints and smudges. About all you see is some faint sort of shiny smudges occasionally. Perhaps some body oils build up? Wiping with a microfiber cloth puts it back to normal. I've only done that two or three times in 6 months.
My favorite part is the smooth gliding feel under my finger. It is much better than the glossy type.
I also have no issues with the viewing quality in normal circumstances. If anything I like it better than the previous glossy product I was using.
I see no downside to this product especially at the low price of about $2.50 per sheet.
Update 9/30/13
I just uploaded some photos of my iPhone 5 after it fell off my car as I backed out of the driveway. The phone landed face down on the concrete street and some small gravel and then I proceeded to run over it with the car before I could stop. I thought the phone was toast. When I got home I hit the button and the phone lit up. Wow! I removed the Otterbox Commuter case and the damaged Tech Armor Matte protector to find the phone completely undamaged. I was so amazed that even though I hated to admit to doing something dumb like leaving my phone laying on the car, I thought it was worthwhile to share the ruggedness of the Tech Armor (and the Otterbox obviously). Pretty good protection combination.
I installed one of the spare Tech Armor protectors, cleaned up the Otterbox as best I could (including filing some rough spots smooth) and it's all good again. By the way, I just received my second order of the Tech Armor Matte protectors. After this episode a week or so ago, I decided to order another package in case I do something else dumb. :p
Check out my photos.

Great screen protector. Fits pretty much perfect. The squeegee works well enough, albeit a credit card or ID can also be used. Make sure to wipe with the included microfiber cloth prior to applying.
My only gripe is that the home button is a cutout (upside down U) instead of an actual circle. Other than that, the screen protector lines up perfectly with the front camera and speaker holes.

One thing to note about anti glare vs clear screen protectors is that anti glare has a matte finish so it does wash out the colors (barely noticeable). However, the advantage of it (as the name implies) is that your phone can be used under sunlight and does not show fingerprints. Also from my experience, anti glare is much easier to put on compared to the clear ones.

Here are some tips if you have trouble putting on screen protectors
1. Wash hands thoroughly
2. KEEP FACEDOWN and peel the whole applicator off while only touching the sides.
2a. Refrain from touching the sticky side of the screen protector.
3. It's easier to use the speaker and camera as reference, not the home button (IMO).
4. Use scotch tape to lift screen protector and safely take out air bubbles (youtube has videos on this).
5. If still having trouble with dust going in, go in the bathroom and turn on the hot water. The steam will bring particles down allowing for a dust-free environment.

I usually waste 1-2 screen protectors before having a perfect one on but now it takes me just one.

My initial try to put these on was not very successful. I used all three and still ended up with a few bubbles. I didnt contact the company, since I figured it was my error. I posted a review on Amazon and mentioned my difficulty, and less than 24 hours later I received an email from Armor Tech telling me they wanted me to be completely satisfied and were shipping me out a new set. They shipped them the next day on Saturday. Now THAT's customer service!

This product has compelled me to write my very first Amazon review. I will start off by saying that I LOVE this product. I had a plastic film screen protector prior to this and was tired of always having to wipe my fingerprints off of it. There is nothing like the clarity and feel of a glass screen protector, and Tech Armor's fits my iphone 5 perfectly. The installation, although simple enough, was not smooth at first. Before installing my screen protector, I watched the installation video on Tech Armor's website and read through the printed instructions included with the package. This was before I realized they are both WRONG. I wish I had read through all the reviews first, because a couple of other reviewers had stated as such. Apparently, once you purchase this screen protector, Tech Armor sends you an email with the correct instructions included. I did not receive this email and can only guess that it ended up in my spam folder.

For those who have or will purchase this screen protector, know that there is only ONE, not TWO protective sheets. The one protective sheet (tab #1) is in fact on the adhesive side. The correct way to install the screen protector is to place the suction cup on FIRST (opposite the side with the protective sheet), peel off the protective sheet (tab #1), then place onto the phone. Don't follow the printed instructions like I did, which tell you to remove tab #1, place the suction cup on this side, and then remove tab #2. If you do, you will just end up with a dusty imprint of your suction cup like I did.

After my disappointing installation experience, I contacted customer service- I must say they were great and very quick to respond. I ended up with a replacement screen protector which I installed CORRECTLY this time. Now my screen looks crystal clear and I have no complaints about the protector itself. Best of all, there are very little fingerprints/smudges! I am so happy, in fact, that I just purchased two more for family members.

I liked this screen protector a lot anyway, then I lost my phone, outside, on my 80 acre horse ranch, for 10 days, in approximately 6 inches of water, mud and snow... and it lived! As I said, I live on an 80 acre horse ranch and I was out doing some work in a few of the pastures one day when I realized my phone was gone. I tried find my iPhone, no luck. I went and looked for it and called it, no luck, then it quickly died in the cold. I went out and looked for it every day but had no idea of where exactly it had ended up. Then we got a delivery of gravel for our driveway and box scraped (graded) our driveway area, and it appeared! It looked as if it had been dragged around by the box scraper a bit and at first I thought the screen had been shattered. Then I remembered I had the screen protector on it and when I peeled it off, my phone looked BRAND NEW! Needless to say after being lost outside, for 10 days, in the wet and mud and cold and being dragged around by a tractor and surviving, I am DEFINITELY ordering another one of these! $10 screen protector and a $20 case saved me over $500 on a new phone.

I got this package of three screen protectors last week and immediately tried to install one. On the iPhone 5, I must say it is tricky to line the cover up from end to end because the phone is so long. Because of this, I kept getting the sheet too far to one side, which left the edge slightly lifted. After two tries and some frustration I emailed Tech Armor. I'm in Alaska and it was late in the day so I didn't expect to hear from them right away, but in fact I got an immediate email back giving me some tips on installing. When I stated that I had used 2 of the 3 and was concerned that the third might be even worse, the rep quickly offered to send a new set and encouraged me to try again. I will say that anyone who does the installation should view their helpful videos first. The last installation I did ended with a satisfactory result, and I was more than impressed when I got the new set in the mail a couple of days later.

These screen protectors aren't terribly resistant to fingerprints, but you can clean them back up and they shine again. The product doesn't seem to interfere with the touchscreen's sensitivity or the screen resolution, which was a concern for me. One thing I noticed was that the holes were cut off-center and I thought that was a flaw. The rep explained that this was to prevent covering sensors that are located to the left of the camera and mic on the face of the phone, which made sense after he explained it. On the black iPhone 5 you can't see these sensors but the rep said that you can see them on the white one. Hope some of this info helps another buyer.

Initially, I was baffled that such a great screen protector sells for such a low price. After a week, I understood why other protectors cost more.

Pros:
**Dry installation - unlike wet application screen protectors, you know immediately if you did a good job applying it and you don't need to let the phone sit overnight before you can use it.
**Case friendly size - at least the case I'm using didn't have any problems with it
** Price
** Clear as glass

Cons:
**Smudges - either my fingertips have gotten alot greasier (unlikely) or this protector shows smudges a lot more than Zagg or Armorsuit. Maybe that's the trade-off for such a clear protector.
**Not as slick feeling - my finger really glides on an Armorsuit protector. This one is not quite that slick.

Update:
The Zagg and the Armorsuit both seemed to "self repair" -- there would be a scratch one day, and the next it would be gone. Sadly, while Tech Armor does protect your screen, it doesn't seem to handle damage to itself very well. I had my iPhone in my jacket pocket with my car keys and when I took the phone out, I saw what looked like a small crack in the screen (and an air bubble forming around it). Fortunately, my screen was fine, so the Tech Armor did it's job. Unfortunately, I need a screen protector that can absorb damage without looking damaged.

I went with Tech Armor because I'm not a fan of Zagg's "orange peel" look to their screens, and though I loved the feel of Armorsuit, it was an edge to edge design that would peel off if you tried to use a case. It looks like I'm still searching for the ideal screen protector...

I would recommend this privacy screen protector to any of my friends, and I have full confidence that they would be as pleased with the product as I am. I have had several screen protectors on my iPhone 4, ranging from normal screen protectors to privacy screen protectors.

There are two main things you want to be aware of when buying a privacy screen protector:
1. They will be thicker than a normal screen protector.
2. They will dim your screen.

With the protector from Tech Armor, neither of these are a major issue. Compared to other privacy protectors I've had, this one is much thinner, but it is still thicker than just a simple screen protector. In no way does it hinder the phone's ability to respond to my touch.

As far as the screen dimming is concerned, this product does dim your screen, but for me that's a good thing. I often think the screen is way too bright and I am always turning down the brightness in my settings, even though I have my auto-brightness on. The change in the brightness is very easy to get used to. I bought this product for my girlfriend and within a couple hours of using her iPhone 4, she says she doesn't even notice that the screen is dimmer. Compared to other privacy screens I've had, this one keeps your screen crystal clear. I've had some that make the images on my screen fuzzy, but that is not the case with Tech Armor's.

Like many privacy protectors, Tech Armor's is an anti-glare screen protector as well. You won't have to worry about accidentally blinding someone on the bus anymore (or yourself for that matter)! While all of this is nice and awesome, probably the most important aspect of this product, besides protecting the information on your screen, is actually protecting the screen itself. My phone is constantly being shoved into my pocket when I'm on the go and often times ends up in the pocket with my car keys. I have yet to see any mark on the protector itself, let alone my phone. I had a screen protector before that got all kinds of scratched up from this everyday wear and tear.

Lastly, I would say I have more experience than most with putting the screen protector on my phone, regardless, I thought that this was a very easy application. The little kit that comes with the screen protector is all you need. I would highly recommend using the dust tape they provide for you as it will leave your screen that much cleaner before applying the protector. It comes with easy directions, so if this is your first time putting a screen protector on your phone you aren't just left hanging.

As I mentioned before, I would recommend this product to anyone who is looking to protect their screen and wants to protect their information from the prying eyes of nosey neighbors. It does everything it says it's supposed to do and I am beyond pleased with my product. If the need arises, I will be buying this product again.
