Now that Z-Deals has left this listing I'll update it to reflect the product. Designed by Google so the fit is obviously perfect! Probably one of the best bumpers I've owned... great feel, very secure, doesn't add much bulk at all. The only thing I don't really care for is that it seems to actually provide less grip than the bare phone (if grip is what you're after). USB and headphone ports are large enough to accommodate most accessories. The area around the side bezel doesn't interfere with the screen which tends to happen with many bumpers: if you're a user of SwipePad then this is a PLUS!

For reference, this was my previous (1-star) review based on particular seller because I did not want to pay this seller in order to review them:

Watch out!!! You're being ripped off! This product was $99, then down to $89 with some bad reviews. Z-Deals has just now deleted that offer and re-posted this item at $79 thus removing any negative feedback from their old listing. How shady is that???!!!

This is obviously a scalping company buying out as much stock as they can to turn around and sell it at a HUGE premium! Companies like these are the reason Google is now out of stock and the rest of us have to wait for them to re-stock or pay a horrible company like this $79 ($89 & $99) for a product that ONLY costs $20 straight from Google!!!

Go ahead Z-Deals... delete this listing again, I dare you! I'll keep coming back to show people your true colors!

to start, the price here on amazon is outrageous. i bought mine from google. and i felt that at least one person should review the product and not the seller. the bumper case in my opinion is beautiful. looks great and feels really nice. the chrome looking buttons and sides of the case look nice and make the phone look as if there wasnt even a case on the phone. my only nit pick would be that a lot of dust collects on the edge where the case and screen starts, mainly due to the rounded edges of the screen. but if u can get your hands on this case from google for $20, than its an excellent buy.

This bumpers was initially great and the fit was perfect! It raised the phone a little off any surface while lying down as to prevent scratching and made it easier to grip.
However, despite the "high" price for this piece of plastic/rubber it started cracking after only a couple of months. It's obviously a design flaw but Google isn't doing anything about it since it's out of the 14 day return period.
The flaw is in how the plastic is molded around the micro usb port. There's an area with very thin plastic and it tends to crack in the middle of it, rendering the whole bumper useless.

To sum it up, looks good and fits snugly for the first little while but with questionable quality it's not made to last more than a month or two. Save your money and buy something else to protect your phone. If there was anything else available when I bought my phone I would have bought it instead.
Do a google search on "nexus 4 bumper cracked" and you'll see what I'm talking about. There's a discussion on a google forum as well as over at xda developers.

The only reason I bought this is because it was so hard to find a case for my Nexus S. I bought it for twenty at google's own site.

It's the bare minimum. It's a bumper that's semi-hard and raises the glass front and back JUST above a flat surface. The front and back of the phone are fully exposed otherwise. I still find myself babying the phone and I can't just relax. It's kind of pointless as far as "protection" goes though it's handsome.

I've seen some pretty interesting soft cases out there and I think you should keep looking.

Edit: This bumper blocks your ability to use standard 3.5mm headphone connectors that don't have slim casings. The diameter of the casing around the standard 3.5mm headphone plug will be greater than that of the bumper's cut-out so the plug can't be seated in the receptacle. I have a pair of Skullcandy Hesh Headphones w/Mic Athletic Blue (2012 Color), One Size that work with this bumper.

This white bumper is the OEM bumper from LG and Google. They need to take a better picture. So happy I checked the model number and took a chance. Now I have a black and white bumper that are NOT cheap replicas.

Its definitely worth it for $20, but not for $60 (got mine from google play).
So head to google play and buy it there, if it is still there.

This product is not even worth the 20 dollars it costs direct from Google (its just a bit of plastic and silicone!) let alone the price that these vultures are selling it for.

If you want to show off the back of your Nexus 4 while keeping it safe from some falls, this is the product for you! It raises the edges so your screen doesn't get scratched if you drop it. However when using this I will suggest you apply a screen and back protector. The bumper does make your phone look slightly bigger but the design of it looks nice and blended in with the phone.

E: I managed to buy this on amazon for $20 + like a 4 dollar shipping fee or something so it was worth it. DO NOT buy it from anyone selling for more than $30. Just go to the google play store or wait it out if it's sold out.

Wow, still have 20 available. No f-ing wonder no consumer was able to buy any, and on top of that triple up the price. This isn't making a profit, this is f-ing robbery.

I was slightly dubious when I purchased this case, but for $10, I figured at least I'd have a convincing knock-off. I was quite pleased to see the real deal (i.e. legit/sealed Google packaging) when it arrived. So, either someone went REALLY out of their way to make this appear to be a Google Nexus 4 Bumper or it actually IS one. Either way, my white Nexus looks super sharp, now. Win-win.
