Good car alarm with loud siren and expandable. Hard to self-install if you don't have any electrical/audio experience but you can install in 1/2 day if you are somewhat mechanical (depending of vehicle). I like the blue flashing light to let would-be thieves know it's armed. Shock sensor is pretty sensitive but adjustable and key FOB have good range. Overall this is a very good system with expandable capabilities

My old Viper died. I went to Best Buy and this alarm was $299 which included installation which I did not need. This was my first purchase on Amazon, and I was amazed at the price, skeptical of what I would get. It was a brand new alarm, original packaging. After 10 years, I only needed to rerun the shock sensor which had a different connector, and install the brain in place of the old one! Works like a charm! Thank you!

I purchased this alarm for my Honda Civic 1995. It was professionally installed in Peru and works great! The manual comes in English but I got it in Spanish through a phone call to Directed! The item was shipped really fast and arrived on time! I have no complaints with this alarm! I will definitely recommend this product!

Its been great, Had it for over a month now and have had zero issues. The whole package was complete with all the wiring. Installation was great & also comes with a starter kill relay. I am very pleased with this standard alarm. Definitely recommend it for the price & value.

I purchased this alarm and decided to install it myself. I'm a fairly experienced DIY guy, but this was my first time installing an alarm. It took me about 6 hours total, including going to the store to get the proper tap in connectors. This is a doable install for anyone thinking of trying to do it him/herself. The most difficult aspect of the install is locating the wires that need to be connected to the alarm head unit, and I recommend figuring this out before you actually start the install. I was able to find the exact locations of the wires for my car doing internet searches.

The keyless entry works perfectly, the parking lights flash, and the alarm goes off when I open any of the doors. My only problem was getting the built in shock sensor to work. I adjusted the sensitivity but still couldn't get the alarm to active by shaking the car. I decided to order an additional shock sensor to add to the alarm, which was another $10. If I was able to get the built in shock sensor to work, this would have gotten five stars. Overall a very good product and value. Local shops quoted me $250 for this alarm installed. I paid only $50 for the alarm and $10 for the additional sensor.

Features and price are always a consideration when choosing any electronic product. The viper alarm has all the features one could want and is reliable. Alarm has been professionally installed and functions. Received a great. Price and shipping was expedient making for a Win in my book.

Took an hour or so to install in a Honda Accord. I have the same unit in my Corolla. Installation is straight forward and comes with everything to get you going. Has the newer remotes which are very nice and rugged.

My 1992 Jeep Cherokee was stolen a couple of weeks after I bought it, you can't imagine how frustrated and angry I was. Fortunately it was found by police about a week later and I was able to recover it. During the ordeal I found out that old Jeeps like mine can be opened - and started - with pretty much any old Jeep key. I confirmed this because there was a key recovered with the vehicle, and I had the only known copy still in my possession. Long story short a friend of mine who used to install alarms for a living recommended this one, and I bought it and had him install it. The alarm is sufficiently sensitive (I am pretty sure he installed another sensor) and keyless entry is great because the door switches in my Jeep kept getting pushed into the door, so less touching of those is a plus. Overall this is a great alarm for the price.

This is a great deal. Ordered my car alarm for 79 bucks and got it installed at best buy for 50. they gave me the employee discount for install so otherwise it would be 120. But everything works great. Nice to finally have keyless entry
