I didn't demand much of these swords. My daughter wanted to have a Percy Jackson Birthday Party and wanted to play capture the flag. I only cared that the swords didn't break on the first couple of parries. Every sword lasted the entire party without any signs of breakage and the kids (all in the 7-9 range) had a great party gift to take home. Even the adults had some fun wielding them. I'm under no illusions that they will last forever, but they put up with a pretty large beating, and they are nicer and less expensive than the ones I found at toy stores and a couple of big box retailers. Good Price, Great Fun.

You get a dozen swords for pretty inexpensive. That's great. They also break VERY quickly. That's to be expected for the price. If you buy these knowing they will break very soon, and you are cool with that, they are a good buy.

These are exactly what I had hoped they would be!!

I bought these as a party favor for my daughter's princess themed 5th birthday party!!
I was so afraid that they would be short and flimsy, but I was pleasantly surprised that they were the big, sturdy, (yet soft and safe), toy that I was hoping they would be!!
Better than plastic, b/c kids cannot hurt each other with them, but still sturdy and big enough for epic sword fights!! :)
All the boys and girls alike loved these!! :)

Don't even bother searching and comparing other similar products (I already did the research!)
These are IT!!!
I feel like they were very affordable for what you get, and as many as you get!! :)

Great product!!!

Sincerely,
Satisfied Party Planning Mom, and Satisfied Party Going Kids!

My five year old loves these swords. He has a lot of younger cousins who are here a lot. He has to learn not to hit too hard, to share, to be careful of household objects while still having loads of fun.

I was apprehensive to purchase these because some reviews indicated they were not very durable. we only had one out of 12 swords come apart after many battles between kids as old as 13. I would buy them again.

These are the best foam swords that I have found for the best price. Having 3 boys I know my toy weapons pretty well. These are as durable as a foam sword can get but even when they finally succumb after hours of play I have more to replace that one with since I only dole them out 3 at a time. My only complaint is about the ones with the curved cutless. For some reason my 2 year old doesn't like them and always pulls the bottom off. Unless you specifically pull on it the piece remains attached so for most kids this would not be a problem. I wish I could get a 12 pack of just the straight ones but these are really great just the same.

A must get: its not perfect: it is after all finely crafted in China! Having said that: I would most certainly get them again! As others have mentioned, you get hours of fun out of them! And since you buy them by the dozen, if they break, you've got spares! And a glue gun will fix most of the separations that occur with rough play! I would not recommend using them to hit the edges of something hard: like the corner of a door: the foam will start to tear and it will not stop! Best for the the price.

I purchased these for my son's Knight birthday party. Eight 5 year old boys, a father and an older brother played for hours with these. They lasted the party and several months after with continuous play. During the party there was no need to have planned activities and I practically had to beg them to come inside for cake. There was some serious sword play going on. And most importantly, NO ONE got hurt. There is a very small, soft plastic rod inside towards the base for structure. Great party favor. I am giving it 5 stars regardless of the quality- being they did not last forever. They may have lasted longer if the younger brother did not bite off chunks of foam and discovered the plastic rod inside. This rod then turned into a light saber. The amount of fun and action these swords had over 8 months make them completely worth while.

We got the dozen pack of foam swords for my son's 5th birthday party with friends. While the adults chatted, we let the kids beat the snot out of each other with these things. At the end of the party: adults = mostly relaxed, kids = tired, swords = take-home bonus for friends. Note for litigious types: it is possible for a child to be hit in the face with a foam sword. It is possible for a child to bite off a chunk of foam. Use under adult supervision (adult may want to wield sword for defense).

You can sometimes find these at a dollar store for $1 a piece, but for having a bulk quantity when you want it, with Prime eligible shipping, the extra couple of bucks was worth it.
