Where do I start on the "COASTER GRANDFATHER CLOCK ITEM # 900726 ?
***** MADE OVERSEAS *****
1.) Takes 5 Batteries to run. (3 x AAA), (2 x C). $$ They don't come with these five items $$.
Note 1 : You can forget about hearing any real bell sounds with this item. I agress, you'll never have any echoing of real bells in your house with this item. It will never make great memories of real bell sounds with this product.
Note 2 : The clock motor is cheap and made overseas with this item. Everything is incased in a three inch black plastic housing, with just 3 wires, chip piece, solder, which connects everything, also the battery insert on the back of it with this item. ( So rust, batteries, wires, parts, etc, will all break down over time on this item ). Everything is incased in a tiny black box on this item. There is "not" any durable or real tumbling clockwork anywhere on this item.
2.) Pullers and chains are painted with a thin coat of silver paint over, a "very" lite weight plastic tubes on this item. (In fact the pullers do not help with winding the clock at all on this item. In fact if you decide to pull on them, the cheap plastic chain will "very" easily pull apart, and break on this clock. Also they are just nailed in at the top, inside and behind the door facing. So they could try hide how cheap it is made and put together on this unit.
3.) The clock motor is just that, a plastic battery operated pos with this item. So it won't always keep good time and it will have to be replaced and it will break down over the years with this product.
4.) The face of the clock; Roman numbers and dozens of tick marks in between, plus a few lines of decor circled around on this item. Get this, its all cheaply printed on thin nonrecycled paper with this clock face.
5.) Clock hands arrived tome broken, so I'm guessing the plastic easily broke on this item. Does not have a second hand or subsidiary clock hands with this item.
6.) All the wood that the enitre piece is made from is fake wood, Its pressed wood. Then painted or laminated. Also not durable at all. Also the nails came apart easily upon opening the parcel.
7.) It is unbalanced the front right corner and also the back left corner. The legs are wrongly centered when cut with this item and makes it wobble.
8.) This item cost way too much. This item is dollar store material.
9.) The so called glass on the front top is plastic, (not glass) on this item, it arrived cracked, not broken completely.
10.) The glass that was supposed to be in the front bottom part of the item, is plate glass, not tempered on this item. Item arrived extremely broken with pieces and shards everywhere. It could have seriously harmed or even killed someone if opened quickly or without disregaurd.
11.) No back wall mount stabilizer backet came with this item. Needs it.
Alas, I ask you not to buy this item or ones like it. If you do, don't pay over $50. Thats $50 absolute mint condition top price. No exceptions. $30 bucks is a fair price.
Unfortunatley the pendelluem swing arm on this clock is the best thing on this clock, but unfortunatly its this mixed metal with aluminum and that motor takes the (3x c batteries).
If people get an attitude or some kinda long winded sales pitch, don't buy into it. They didn't try to perseude me with any other products. Also tracking down the actual vendor that sold it was a serious hassle.

Worked fine upon first starting the clock. When I tried to turn down the volume on the chimes, the problems started. Had to reset the clock. From here on, it failed to keep proper time. I reset it several times and to date has not functioned properly.
Tried fresh batteries to no avail. Would not recommend this clock to anyone.

first of all, I had to wait almost 3 weeks to get the clock. When I got it it was crushed on the top, and the base was broken off. I understand that for $238 it is not a real grandfather clock, but for that price it should have been packed better. It was basically in a cardboard box that was not specifically designed for the clock. There was a piece of foam shaped for the top (was still damaged anyway) and the rest was packed in bubble wrap. This type of item should have been encased in a styrofoam mold, like any $29 ceiling fan would be. In the other reviews, I should have heeded the warning from other purchasers, but I thought I would take a chance.

For the price it is great because most clocks this size are north of $1,000. You can tell its cheap up close but 3' back and it looks pretty expensive. The picture is mis-advertisement though because the actual clock you get only has 2 fake weights with two loose chains which doesn't make any sense because every mechanical clock I have seen comes with three (one for the hour hand, minute hand and second hand). I probably would have given 3-4 stars if it wasn't for that. The chimes seem to be impossible to get into sync also. I gave up and its an hour behind on the chimes.

When I received the clock, it was left on my porch upside down. I was out of town for a while and when I opened up the box the top portion of the clock is was warped. The clock was decent looking, but I was disappointed with state is was left in.
