This mug leaked very bad, I cannot use it, had to go out and buy another one.

This is a great container as far as keeping the hot liquid hot all day long, as well as keeping iced product really cold for hours.
Marie Carianna
Problem is when I switched the lever to open (drink) position, it leaks a little from the gap(between the lid and the mug).

I want to tell you that the Bestek 16 oz double wall stainless steel thermal mug has more than exceeded even the Bestek claims. At 2:30 pm this afternoon, I filled the thermal mug with boiling water, and found at 11:30 pm, nine hours later, that the water temperature was 130 degrees fahrenheit.

I have owned many insulated beverage containers in my time, but this one has proven to be the best for keeping my tea hot over an extended period of time.

I would also mention that the seal that keeps the contents from leaking is excellent.

I bought the Bestek stainless steel mug for my daughter to take to school and she loves it! I put water in it for her and 4 hours later when shes having recess or snack ) its still cold. Shes a first grader and she keeps it in her backpack so it takes a beating and it has never leaked on her. I almost want to take it and use it for myself! : )

I've had this for maybe 2 months now, and use it almost every day. I bring it to school, in the car, anywhere. It doesn't leak, but for some reason only with water, when I turn it upside down only a couple drops fall, sometimes. Like 1 out of 4 times I would say. I always drink hot tea and coffee, and with the double wall being always at room temperature it's almost scary to have no idea how intensely hot it might be sometimes. I see that as a good thing, because the temperature of the liquid stays the same for about 4 to 8 hours, depending on how often you open the lid. And remember, when you're going to put the lid on, HAVE THE LID OPENED. I sealed the lid, closed, and at first couldn't open it, because there was too much air pressure and it couldn't escape!

leaks around the lid - would not recommend unless you like coffee stains on your clothes...too bad as it keeps coffee warm.

clarifying my statement above. the cap on the lid does not leak...it leaks around where the tumbler and lid screw in together...so every time you turn it up to drink...you get dripped on.

First what this container does well: It keeps the coffee warm, and it doesn't leak when inverted.

So it's OK used as a thermos as long as you don't attempt to make use of its main function as an insulated mug.

Drinking from it with the lid, the liquid spurts out so that it's virtually impossible not to burn your lips and tongue if the liquid is hot. Then when you finished drinking and close the latch, there is liquid left in the top of the lid, so if if falls over, say on your desk or in your car, coffee drips all all over the place.

I tried drinking from the container with the lid removed, to avoid the spurting action, but the rim of the container itself is very sharp and rather uncomfortable.

I've kept it to use as a backup thermos, but as an insulated mug I find it to be useless. I went to Starbucks and bought one of their pricey thermos mugs. It works great, doesn't spill coffee, doesn't burn the mouth, and is equally comfortable to drink from with or without the lid in place.

I really like this mug but the lid leaks. Otherwise it is a good product but I am tired of it leaking on my clothes every morning. I am going to send it back and get a different mug.

I had several problems with this mug. The first was the lid would leak often. There appears to be a problem with how the rubber seal attaches to the lid, it came off completely at one point. After only 4 months of use the piece that open and closes the lid broke.

I rarely write a review but in this case feel I need to. I do realize that this mug didn't break the bank but it's so bad I don't use it. Period. I was looking for a coffee mug that didn't leak/drip. Well, it definitely doesn't because you can't get any cofffee to come out at all. Still hoping I can send it back.
