4.0 out of 5 stars Not Bad - But Needs a Few Things February 27, 2013
Verified Purchase
All in all, this is not a bad game...it just feels not quite finished.

Summary
This game feels like its at a good mid-beta stage. It doesn't quite feel finished as there's no story, no characters, no reason to go from level to level other than they are just there.

What I'd Like to See
- Something which explains what's going on and why.

- A way of influencing what resources you can get (or keep from your enemy).

- Upgrades to stronger or larger shields, stronger weapons, better/stronger materials for the towers would be great.

- The ability to expand the towers to castles with some having turrets (back to upgrades again) which can give the owner of the turrets a free shot at the enemy every turn no matter what else they choose to do.

Pros
- Gameplay is easy to learn.

- Graphics are pretty good while remaining simple.

- There is definitely potential for an addicting quality to the game, but its just not quite there yet.

Cons
- The instructions leave much to be desired as far as phrasing.

- There doesn't seem to be any sound...I've tried and tried to get it to work.

- Maybe its because the instructions aren't clear, but I don't know why I need three different resources. What does one do that another doesn't? If one made your tower taller, another made your shield stronger, and yet another made your shots more powerful...that I could see. But I don't see that they have any differentiation and appear by the luck of the draw.

- The "Campaign" button is misspelled "Camplaign". I would think any developer should know SOMEONE who can proofread for them if they're serious about game development.

Summary
Again, this feels like it has a LOT of potential, but its just not "there" yet.

2.0 out of 5 stars Plays smoothly, but boring February 27, 2013
Verified Purchase
The game is a turn by turn based game based on attacking, casting spells upon, and defending your tower versus your opponents tower. The towers look like light houses and it's one tower versus another. The game has both single player and multiplayer. The multiplayer is available both locally and over wifi (or your phones/tablets service), and signing up was a breeze, and I found a match within a few seconds.

The game is boring though. It takes a long time, once you are about to defeat your enemy they just cast defense spells, so even if you are obviously headed to victory their defense spells prolong the inevitable. The game has nothing other than the attack/defense/spells, nothing different. It's just the same thing over and over involving the towers. The story line is basically nonexistent. It does look decent, the graphics are smooth and I had no problems with any technical difficulties. The game fails to capture my attention and is forgettable however. If you are a huge fan of the genre of attacks/spells/defenses, it's worth a try for free, but I can't imagine paying for it.

2.0 out of 5 stars Quite boring February 27, 2013
Verified Purchase
In this game you have to destroy opponent's tower and be tactical. It has different types of resources what to use for destroying the opponent. One game takes a lot of time because you can build up your tower again and it seems endless. It's good for a person who likes shooting and destroying, but it's quite plain. It's not exciting to play with a robot. It may be a bit better on a multiplayer mode.

It plays smoothly on my Nexus 7, but I find it boring and it's not entertaining. I wouldn't recommend buying it, but for free why not.

2.0 out of 5 stars Short and repetitive February 27, 2013

The campaign is basically the same game played multiple times. The game doesn't get more challenging as it progresses. There is only a little bit of replay value.

3.0 out of 5 stars So So... February 27, 2013

When read reviews and was surprised how many people said it is boring. I was playing similar game (Castlewars - which is clone of another game called Ants) and could not get it since I really enjoyed it.

After trying it I can see what other people meant.

Here are some improvements I would recommend (based on CW):
- have names for every card, it makes much easier to remember what possible cards are there and accordingly it makes easier to have some kind of strategy,
- in CoM you have Mana, Souls, Crystals as opposed to Bricks, Weapons, Crystals in CW. It is not very clear in this game what element does what, while in CW you know that if you want your tower taller, you need bricks, when you want to make enemy tower shorter you need weapons and so on.
- on every turn Mana, Souls, Crystals increase by 1 (as I understand) I don't think this was explained in the instructions, I like how CW added additional component which controls by how much every resource grows. This in turn makes game more interesting because it makes strategy slightly more interesting. The last suggestion is optional (I personally would like it), but it shows how small change can have huge impact on the gameplay.

I would recommend the author(s) to try Ants or Castlewars and see what makes those games so fun to play. This game could be as fun or perhaps even more with some changes as mentioned above.

2.0 out of 5 stars Nice Graphics but gets old fast February 27, 2013
Verified Purchase
As a free app of the day it is worth a download just to play for a bit, but the game does get old fast. You have basic moves you can make in battle spells/attack/defense and that is it. The game play is repetitive and there is no story line to the game. I will say though that the graphics are decent and it runs smoothly which is always good.

2 Stars since the graphics are decent and it runs smoothly on my Galaxy S3. It is worth a download for free, but I don't think its worth paying for. I usually enjoy turn by turn games, but I enjoy a story to them too. Great job with the single and multi-player. The multi-player works well.

Overall I would not pay for this game, but as a free app of the day today it is worth a try.

The game play was pretty weak. I didn't play it for very long. The game was very repetitive and simplistic and not that interesting.
