Ok, I do not want to give anything away. So, for those who have seen Men In Black 3, I have a question about something. When I watch the first and second movies, am I to believe that the things that happened in the third, had happened in the first and second? Did Jones character have the same thing happen to him then or was it an altered future that only happened after the happenings of the third movie? Do you see what I'm saying? How could the things have happened in the first and second? Unless they jumped in time thus changing the past and making their characters then remember things that had not happened before they did so. I think my mind was just blown.

The movie had a cool ending. But left me wondering.

I was thinking the same thing after I saw this last night. That is an very good question :)

One could assume it followed the time travel rule of "Back to the Future" in which J left timeline A, got forced into Timeline B due to alien issues, and changed things putting himself in timeline C, in which everything in timeline A existed except for the alien causing the interference.

J can not be rewritten, and K knew what happens to himself thanks to J traveling and creating timeline C.

That said, assume that K had known everything, and only K knew everything. Gave him commendations in MIB1, and in an attempt to change J's bleak past because he possible cared, took a hiatus leading into MIB2.

Nothing that happened in timeline C changes timeline A except for the events in MIB3.

Make sense?

Oddly enough, yes it does!!!! But, your blew my mind again. This is the second time this year my prro mind has been blown. My brain is starting to feel like a 70s porn star.

Thinking about the stuff you said, what if one had gotten killed? That would have effected the first two movies, but then really neither could have died because the events of the first two movies had happened already. Though they had happened already, would they have changed? All the events that they had been a part of would have changed as well, thus changing the lives of many people. Unless you are talking about parallel existences. In which case no one could ever really be sure that they returned into the right time.

I feel like watching Quantum Leap!!!!
