I purchased this bed on a whim because I was in a quick fix for bedroom furniture. I had no idea that I would fall in love with it so quickly! It's very elegant and fits in with any bedroom decor. The frame itself is very easy to put together, and the simple bolts blend in with the frame so you don't see any connectors.

Even though I love this bed, there are a few things that should be mentioned. The bed itself does not come with a special frame for the bottom; this has to be purchased elsewhere. I read that in another review and put one on hold at the local furniture store. Because this is a canopy bed and not a regular frame, it has a special frame that has to be connected at the top and bottom. No big deal, even after buying the frame, the price for the entire ensemble was great.

Also, be careful not to push this bed too tightly against a wall. The black paint is a great finish, but if you're anything like me and like to JUMP into bed, it will rub the finish off on the walls.

Lastly, if you are buying a net or any type of material to go on the canopy itself, buy it before you put the bed together. It's less of a hassle than having to take it apart. The coverings that I used were similiar to curtains with the 'sleeve' along the top to run the poles though. I wound up having to take the poles down in order to put the coverings up.

With anything you buy, you are going to find small things that you didn't think of or expect. Even with these discoveries, I love this bed and would highly recommend it for all ages. It's shipped in a package small enough to fit in my car and it was light enough for me to carry up to my 2nd floor apartment by myself.

you must get a frame that connects both the bottom and top it was my fault that i didn't read the reviews first,otherwise this is a great bed I love it and I'm 50 yrs old.

The item arrived on time. It was in pretty good condition for the most part expect for a couple of slight bends in the headboard. I loved the way it looked once we assembled the whole bed (looks exactly as shown here in the picture). It is a great product for the price! Document explaining the items included and assembly instructions (which was vague BTW) was torn during transport making it hard to read. Including it along with the purchase order would have been better. Overall a neat looking bed! I would recommend it to anyone.

My mother had purchased this bed frame in the past and it is very sturdy and also sexy when you put up lace or sheer curtains and its not expensive at all.

I was a little skeptical about this item but I took a chance and I am so glad I did. The packaging does not matter to me so I'll ignore that. Everything was included, the instructions were easy and the bed is a beauty! The only small issue I had was trying to fit the head and foot boards in the hole. I even got the matching vanity and now my bedroom is complete. To anyone looking to purchase this product, you will need a bed frame with foot and head board rails. There are 14 poles, the head board, the foot board and all the screws needed with the little tool thing (I hate those and my arms were killing me from using that thing). All in all, great buy! Thanks!

It looks really nice but the balls on top wont screw in straight, the whole thing shakes pretty bad and bends easily. Also, it makes a LOT of noise when your...you know...

I bought this bed frame at a Big Lots when I was still in High School (so, 2003 or earlier). I love it. I have moved it all over the state. It is really nice looking. Eventually one of the pieces of metal broke, but luckily I know someone who was able to fix it. Considering how long I have had the bed and how many times it has been moved (without very careful planning), I think it is good quality. I love it!

Solid bed for the money. A bit shaky if you hold on to either the headboard or footboard, my fiance and I have an energetic and playful approach to our bed use and overall this frame is a bargain for the money. It was delivered very prompt and in good condition, despite the sparse/undetailed directions the assembly is common sense and took about an hour. Make sure you purchase a bedframe (metal base) that has bolt (not hook) fittings for both a headboard and a foot/baseboard. I would recommend this bed to a friend.

We bought this and had to get a bedframe that allowed us to connect the canopy to the bottom and top, so don't get an ajustable frame unless it has the rails. Otherwise it was pretty easy to put together and my 10 yr old loved it!

Let's get one thing straight. This product looks like it came from a pawn shop. The tops of the bed post are bent, parts are missing, and the product is also scratched. When I called the company phone number provided, it was someone's cell phone and he said he was to busy, so asked me to call him back. I called back later and the guy told me tough luck... DO NOT BUY!!!!!!
