5.0 out of 5 stars Perfection
These earbuds are comfortable and produce excellent sound. What more can you ask for? I liked them so much I gave them as presents to my friends and they love them too.

I bought these from Logitech actually, they were on sale for 50$. The product looks well build. Comes with a nice little case, actually too little if you ask me. The cord is actually pretty long. I'm 6'2" and the cable is too long for me at the gym, it always gets in the way. The quality...havent reached break in point yet, but there is very minimal bass. Sound is very...

I was skeptical, but I've stopped using my Bose noise-cancelling earPHONES for these buds. The designer was the sound engineer for the Allman Bros and met their request for something that was light-weight, comfortable and produced clarity. These meet the bill. There is no e-frquency to cancel the drone of jet engines, but the fit is so tight and the volume so good that little exraneous noise interferes.

I'm 6'2" and the cable is too long for me at the gym, it always gets in the way. The quality...havent reached break in point yet, but there is very minimal bass. Sound is very clear though. Very good highs and mids. The fitment of the headphones on the other hand is horrific. The drivers are HUGE. And I mean absolutely HUGE. They dont fit in my ear. I tried every earbud in the package and the only one that remotely fits is the weird foam buds. I will be returning the item shortly to Logitech and going back with my cheaper JBud J3's.

5.0 out of 5 stars Had I known they were THIS good..., September 28, 2011
This review is from: super.fi 3 Studio Earphones MB (Electronics)
I am a keyboard player/vocalist for a touring show band... I've been using in-ear monitors for years and years... I've used the Ultimate Ears products for my personal music listening for a few years, never a problem.. Matter of fact, great sound... Thing is, you actually have to follow the instructions and insert them properly to get the full sound that they are capable of.. If you do that, they are perfect..

A few nights ago, the in-ear monitors that I usually use failed during sound check. Shure, I wasn't happy about it.. An hour before stage call and no monitors... I went to the dressing room, grabbed my UE's and hoped for the best.. Plugged them in, put them in my ears and...

Wouldn't you know it? They sounded better than the ones that came with my high end in-ear monitor system... Wow... Great sound, great mix... Full big bodied sound... Way more than I was getting before..

Needless to say, my shure-fire solution will be the spare pair now.. I'm ordering another set of these, and starting to stash some of that band money for a custom made pair.. Those UE11's are going to be perfect... Maybe some custom artwork... I know it will be the last pair I ever need to purchase.
Ultimate Ears SuperFi 3 Studio - Headphones in-ear ear-bud - black

Well worth the money.. Get a couple sets, just in case!

2.0 out of 5 stars Good sound, not at all durable., August 2, 2011
This review is from: super.fi 3 Studio Earphones MB (Electronics)
I bought a pair of these, and I was most pleased with the sound. The sound entirely met my expectations, and I thought this was a winning product. Then, the cable broke, and the company charged me to replace it, even though I was well within the stated warranty period. I ponied up the $20.00 or so, only to have the cables break again, in exactly the same way. I now have the ear buds in a drawer, unused, with the broken cables, because they are useless. They are in a pretty container supplied by UE, though. Ultimate Ears was not helpful at all in backing up their ear buds, and this was a most unpleasant experience. Good sound, shoot, very good sound, but quality control and customer back up are real troubling issues. Caveat emptor.

1.0 out of 5 stars Same as less expensive Altec Lansing UHP336, July 17, 2011
This review is from: super.fi 3 Studio Earphones MB (Electronics)
I have had three pairs of these (Altec Lansing UHP336, actually). Two were replaced under warranty. The third is broken.

These are exactly the same as Altec Lansing UHP336, which sells for less. The sound is okay, but not great. There is some audible cable-scrape noise, but not as bad as some. Comfort is poor. (One cannot lie down on a pillow with them. Not good for air travel.) The connection between the cable and the ear piece is poorly designed. The connection depends on friction from two small pins. The base of the connection is glued to the earpiece, and can come off. When it does, the two tiny wires break and fall into the earpiece. There is no repairing it when that happens.

These are well balanced, and isolate noise VERY well, but the sound is not spectacular. They are, basically, way over priced. The detachable cable is an excellent idea! However, these stick way out of your ears (don't think about sleeping in them) and the sound does not warrant the price.

I like these earphones, but they don't stay in my ears with any of the provided tips. The sound is loud and clear, but ultimately I wasted my money.
