We bought one of these for a large stack (10 inches tall) of paperwork that had to be put into binders. Many of the pages were heavy duty stapled together and too large for my standard 3 hole punch. The sheets that would fit even as just 3 or 4 pages at a time always seemed to get snagged on the way out of every standard 3 hole punch I tried. This one was a dream to use. 60-70 sheets at a time, perfect clean cut top to bottom, pages slid right out. I expect having this tool allowed me to do in 25 minutes what would have taken 3 hours to complete with a lesser product. Expensive, but should pay for itself quickly.

I have been a fan of Swingline products until now. I purchased the 74550 "Heavy Duty" hole punch. From my experience "heavy duty" is not just misleading, but a gross exaggeration. It claims to punch 15-75 sheets. It doesn't even come close. I have trouble with 40 sheets of 20# paper. I have had less of a workout going to the gym. I have to put it on the floor and put my full body weight on the handle to get it through 40 sheets of paper. The paper circles are all over my desk and floor. Overall, this product is poorly designed. I am very disappointed at its performance and will be returning it to the store.
