Yeah I have similar feelings with our new "rivalry" with Colorado. No one in Nebraska recognizes it as a rivalry because it was manufactured by Colorado as an end goal for their program. It also doesn't help that the historical CU/NU series is incredibly lopsided, so it's hard to see them as a rival when they have barely ever beaten us. They have probably the most classless fans in all of college football. I will be attending the OU/NU game this year, so hopefully it will go better than last year. That will always be the true rivalry for nebraska fans, no matter how much Colorado throws the word 'rival' at us.

Ive asked Meaty a couple of times about his abandonment of the fantasy forum, and he simply avoids the question... did something happen that I dont know about?

Statistics is too dry to ever consider it interesting. I find that odd, in a way, because so many guys are really in to sports stats and even game stats that use those skills. I guess it's the learning of the skills that seems suited to the dry desert conditions you find yourself in, Charley. I certainly hear you on the "pass is enough" situation. I had an Economics class in school like that. I read the book and went to class on Friday to take the quiz. I hated it.

The LSU/Tulane rivalry is similar in it's lopsidedness (though Tulane has actually won on very rare occasions). It is just regarded by both sides as an excellent excuse for a party. I guess it has to work that way since the school families are very interbred, hostilities would be bad.

No Frank, He just told us he was well and needed to get on with life. He said we sucked up too much time and he needed to quit "cold turkey". We gave him a parade, wished him well, then kissed him on the nose and waved goodbye with appropriate tears and entreaties to stay. Maybe VGF is even more addictive? or less so? Whatever the reason he hasn't been back to visit unless he lurks. I, personally, don't think I can brave the wilds of VGFland.
