Wow, great questions. I dont work for the mfgr so I dont know the answer to a few of these questions, but I have been playing with it quite a bit and can answer some. Also...there is quite a bit of detail on the product page..but for whatever reason you have to scroll way down to see it. Here's what I can tell from the unit I have:

1. Can you set via points?
YES, THERE IS MULTIROUTING

2. Does it have multi-destination routing and will it automatically reorder to the most efficient routing? How many custom routes can you set and how many stops?
-YES. GIVES YOU OPTIONS BY QUICKEST TIME, SHORTEST ROUTE, OR MOST HIGHWAYS. I dont know how many routes you can set. I stopped at 4 and that worked ok.

3. Can you exclude specific roads or a specific area (and are there any trucking route features or a truck mode)?
YES. WHEN ROUTING OR REROUTING, IT GIVES YOU OPTIONS TO AVOID SPECIFIC ROADS, OR EVEN MORE GENERAL REROUTING, SUCH AS...RE-ROUTE ME FOR THE NEXT MILE AND THEN PUT ME BACK...
