Plasma screens are too dark, and lack the bright colour of LCD sets

Is there a question in there somewhere? I'm also a fan of LCD but I will point out that most LCD TV's have a very limited viewing angle. I have one in my bedroom that looks great from the chair but completely washes out when I lay down in bed. I have also seen an LCD nearly destroyed when an unattended child found out that the harder he pushed on the screen the prettier the colors it made. :-) I always recommend that people look at a new TV from every angle to see if it fits their room and also remember that brightness and contrast ratio are far less important than shadow detail and the ability to make skin look like skin without messing with the settings for hours. I have 2 LCD's. a 42" Olevia(dead brand), and a 47" VIZIO. One sucks(Olevia) and the other is pretty good.
