Hmm not a ton of Kirby fans in here huh? I've only ever played Epic Yarn! It's one of the few Nintendo franchises I haven't played much of! I will pick up Return to Dreamland one of these days.

I love Kirby! Return to Dreamland is my favorite Kirby game. I am also planning to pick up the Dream Collection after I finish up New Super Mario Bros. 2

Grab the Dream Collection now. It's a limited edition, and Nintendo's limited editions tend to sell out relatively quickly.

Yeah, I agree-get it now if you want it, it may not be around.

I bought it to support these collections that you can actually buy.

I used to like Kirby a lot more. Enjoyed Adventure on the NES, and Dreamland 2 so far is my favorite in the series. Missed 3, so I'm looking forward to trying that.

I don't like the later ones though. Too spastic, repetitive, and hard. Return to Dreamland stayed fun longer, but still.

Even back in the early 90s, it was no Super Mario Bros., but Dreamland 2 might be the height of the series. Wish HAL would do games I actually liked again...Adventures of LOLO and the other games they quit making much past the early 90s.

I haven't tried out the Wii collection yet, but it's waiting on my shelves. I've played them all in the past, though, and I love all of the Kirby games released over the years. I was also so delighted to see Kirby's Pinball Land make it to the 3DS VC. Still one of my favorite handheld pinball games! :-) Block Ball is a lot of fun too. Dream Land 1 & 2 and Kirby's Adventure are all classics, and it would be difficult to pick my favorite among those three.

@ Wolfpup

Have you played any of the DS Kirby games? Squeak Squad feels pretty true to the roots of the series to me, and of course Super Star Ultra is a port of the SNES game. I loved the creativity of Canvas Curse, though it's a complete departure. I also enjoyed Mass Attack, though it's gameplay is closer to the Mario vs. DK.

Have you tried The Legendary Starfy? If you like the simplicity and lower level of difficulty of the earlier Kirby games, you might enjoy it too.

Yeah, I liked Kirby's Block Ball, although not Pinball.

Yeah, I've played all of them and hated all of them until Mass Attack which so far I'm enjoying quite a bit. I even hate the remakes which to me don't play much of anything like the originals, and are all spastic.

Not yet. I bought it at launch (over three years ago?!?) but it's still in my backlog lol Looking forward to it!

MAN do I love 2D art... Geez, the DS is like 1/1billionth as powerful as current gen hardware, and Kirby Mass Attack STILL looks awesome. (Still wish we got more 2D games for the current gen stuff...I guess Rayman is about it, though it does look fantastic.)

I played Kirby's Dream Collection on the Wii this weekend and I am pleased to report that these games are still excellent. The graphics are dated, but the gameplay is top-notch and immensely fun!

My wife walked in while I was playing and remarked "This game is really pixelated". I married her for her brain.

Kirby Super Star Ultra on the DS is just a fantastic game. I play it quite frequently.
