I noticed Reba's posts have all disappeared! Is Deborah MacGillivray and her author loop at it again ("reporting abuse" on every post of hers) or has amazon been doing this intentionally? Reba, you have my support. What can we do for you? Shall we write amazon customer service. Anyone have the email address for the executive customer service department?

If it is you Deborah MacGillivray...get a life! If you can't handle criticism of your work DONT PUBLISH IT. Sheesh...

A few of us noticed that. I re-posted what was deleted. I don't understand why it would be deleted. It isn't an offensive or inappropriate post. So I've come to the conclusion that MacGillivray and her supporters (enough of them) clicked the report abuse button and was able to get it deleted. Same thing they did to the negative reviews of her books. I just want to say that it will *not* work. If they keep on doing that, we'll just keep on posting them!!! =)

Amazon's Executive Customer Service Department : ecr@amazon.com

Folks, please email them and bring this to their attention!!

Deborah MacGillivray: PLEASE stop sharing your work with us. Obviously we are too stupid to understand it. Keep your manuscripts on your computer and you will no longer have to worry about explaining your plotline and characters to us uneducated fools. Trust me, you'll be doing us all a favor. Oh, and STOP STALKING US. Leave Reba alone!! It's CRAZY!

I am so angry!!

ETA - I emailed amazon. I will also not be purchasing a thing from this site until it is clear that amazon did not intentionally do this (which I told customer service as well). And I buy a lot from this site. I buy toys, kitchen things, all kinds of household things, and books aplenty. I've got diapers and wipes on subscription...at least I did.

Dear Author recently reopened comments on the Deborah MacGillivray Harasses Reader blog posting. A lot of writers and reviewers have been posting comments. I have yet to see any support of MacGillivray.

I will send a message to customer service also. I have read terrible reviews about a book that I loved, but I respected their right to have an opinion, for Heaven's sake! This is just WRONG!
A Reader: The email addy did not work. Would you re-post it, Please?

Reba Belle has been a moderately active poster and if you google inurl:forum site:amazon.com Reba Belle you can see that Amazon has deleted every post she has ever made.

ecr@amazon.com is supposed to be the email for the executive customer service department. My email hasn't bounced back yet. If I google the address I get the same info. I'll let you know if I hear from them.

Oh, that's nice. Good going Amazon. Hasn't Reba taken enough BS yet?? What the heck are you thinking?

You'd think that amazon would support a PAYING consumer over some small-time author any day.

I've reposted Ms. Mac's email regarding Reba's review in a few places too (we have to stick together). When Ms. Mac states 'Vote down this Bit**' to her 'Ladies In Waiting', I've been sure to put asterisks so Amazon can't delete me for using profanity.

Well, it seems that someone is hitting the negative on all the posts on this thread too. Even if it's not DMac, it makes her and her ilk look like evil brats.

In reply to an earlier post on Apr 15, 2008 11:10:12 AM PDT
Really, Why do they not just go away? We are maybe a 100 people here who post, and who also care about each other. I would think that they would leave us alone instead of awakening a sleeping lion. That is usually a BAD thing, IMHO>

Susiq2 says, How and why would they remove all of her reviews? I would be devastated if they did that to my few humble reviews. What can we do? How do we help?

I'm sorry I didn't make it clearer, but the reviews are still there. What has been deleted is every word (other than the reviews) she has written. Every reply (defence) in the comments to her reviews and every ordinary post in every thread, from organizing books to books about pregnant heroines, she has ever posted here in the forums.

Like to Read says:
The childish, tactics used against a person who only wanted to give her personal opinion of a book saddens and angers me. Many have posted opinions of books on Amazon.com and I personally appreciate when honest reviews are written, whether I agree or not.

I didn't realize how ugly this situation has turned until, this past weekend, when I had a chance to browse this board more closely.

With the attacking of ratings, reviews and some inappropriate discussions, it has become apparent to me that this board has lost some of its friendly community feel. We haven't always agreed with each other, which is to be expected, but disagreements and different viewpoints were respected.

Reba Belle and others, it is a shame that sharing ones personal opinions has caused some to try to intimidate and bully.

I don't understand why the discussion comments are being deleted.

Has anyone ever had email contact with Reba in the past? Is she on PBS or anywhere else someone could try to contact her and find out her side of the story? It just occurred to me that as part of one of the many legal investigations she's implemented against Ms. MacGillivray she was asked to remove her comments. Probably not, but I suppose there is a chance.

In reply to an earlier post on Apr 15, 2008 12:44:04 PM PDT
Her deletions say 'Deleted by Amazon', if Reba had deleted them they would say 'Deleted by author'. But I do agree that Ms. Mac's attorney's are involved here.

C. Vowels says:
Yes, I know it was Amazon, but it could have been a situation where she needed them all to be deleted and rather than trying to find them all had Amazon do it as it would be just a keystroke for them. Just saying there could be another explanation, although unlikely.

In reply to an earlier post on Apr 15, 2008 1:17:48 PM PDT
That is a good point. It would also explain why Reba hasn't spoken up here lately.

In reply to an earlier post on Apr 15, 2008 1:46:27 PM PDT
Is Reba not able to post anything? Has she been banned? Does anyone know how to get in touch with her? This is SO SAD!!

Jo says:
LET'S PLAY TAG!
I've been reading the posts both here and on Dear Author. If Amazon is not responding to your emails and deleting posts, I say we start playing TAG.
You can tag a book to another book so long as you give a reason. For example, Mac The Knife's overweaning ego seems in need of taming, so TAG one of her books to a self help book and suggest that she read it. If you feel her writing needs work, TAG one of her books to book that teaches writing. Dare I mention it, there are also a number of books out there that help individuals identify the morally challenged. hehhehheh!

In reply to an earlier post on Apr 15, 2008 2:12:46 PM PDT
C. Vowels,

That could be one possible explanation. If that's the case, the posts me and DW posted should not be deleted since we have no part of that. If they do ever get deleted, we know who to blame!

C. Vowels says:
L, you're totally right. If they remove yours then we'll know it's because of complaints--good thinking.

People who abuse Amazon like MacGillivray and her friends have done should be banned from the site, IMO. In a perfect world, her books would be removed, too.
