HELP! taking B/W pictures?? can anyone tell me if the Canon T2i or T3i camera will take black and white photos? When you process the pictures is there a way to get the pictures processed in black and white? I'm new to this digital world!! Thank you.

Hi, I own the T3i and I would never take pictures in black & white on it as you can post-process color to black & white but never vice versa. You can get awesome black & white photos if you use Silver Effect Pro as an add-on to Photoshop. You do this after you upload the photos from your camera to your computer. You can buy Adobe Photoshop Elements 10 and Silver Effect Pro 2 for $75 & $175 respectively. Best of luck!

You could even use a GIMP and UFRaw based workflow to do all of this for free. But yeah, Photocat is right. Don't shoot in B&W on the camera because you're throwing away data and you can just change it in post processing anyhow.
