can you hook to your home television and see movie on large screen using this DVD player?

This DVD player came with a AV out jack and it works to output RCA components to a TV.

Yes, with RCA type cables. It comes with a short adapter that accepts RCA red/white/yellow plug-ins

yes; in fact the color quality is better with a good tv / monitor. the 980 display has some strange quirks, colorwise.

not out of the box, it provides a connection cable that for some reason you have to buy another cable to connect it to tv, i've looked everywhere to get this cable, including best buy and radio shack and no one has it - don't buy this product. look at the panasonic portable dvd w 9" screen, it includes the proper connection cable, wish i'd bought that.
