Recorded when Renato Russo whas very sick, sound quality is not so good. But some good songs - Via Láctea, Dezesseis, L'Avventura (the best song at album), Esperando por mim. Made a very good portrai of Legião work

3.0 out of 5 stars Rise and fall of a giant
The album starts very well, and there are some very good songs. However, the overall album simply did not measure up to the bands reputation. Some of the songs were very reminiscent of Renato's Italian solo album "Equilibrio Distante." 5.0 out of 5 stars Legião Urbana's masterpiece, December 12, 2001
This review is from: tempestade ou o livro dos dias (Audio CD)
This is the last Legião Urbana's album before lead singer Renato Russo's death, and it is the best one. The album starts with "Natália", a speed-power-ballad, with heavy drums and a furious guitar, and then the album features moments between the complete despair ("A via láctea"), some hope ("Esperando por mim") and the definitive farewell song ("Mil pedaços"). The arrangements and Renato Russo's voice, near to the end, are fabulous. It is the best album written in Portuguese ever made.

5.0 out of 5 stars The Last One, March 15, 2004
By A Customer
This review is from: tempestade ou o livro dos dias (Audio CD)
How can we describe Renato Russo? A Brasilian guy or just a rock singer. Not just it. In my opinion he was the greatest singer of my generation. Some people describe him as a poet.
Legião Urbana's songs are always playing on rhe radio and even though some of this songs was written in 1984, his words sounds so clear and so alive. Unfortunately, he passed away in 1996 and his band stopped recording, but his songs are still alive in our hearts.
This album is very good, however it is a little bit sad. I recomend the songs Dezesseis, A Via Lactea and 1° de Julho.
If you like Legião Urbana, buy this cd and the others albums.
Legião Urbana forever!
Héder from São Paulo, march 14/04.

5.0 out of 5 stars A man's life history, March 28, 2003
This review is from: tempestade ou o livro dos dias (Audio CD)
More than a bunch of good songs, "A tempestade ou o Livro dos dias" is the history of the lead singer on beautiful words. He always wrote as a poet, he always believed in life, like we should all believe, more than actions and scenes... poetry. He knew he wouldn't be on this side for any longer. He wrote and sang like a person who lived his life as best as he could, who regret his non-lived moments, who knew he was going to miss this world, but above all, who accepted his farwell. I am far from being one of their fans, but I do love this album... a classic, history.
