3.0 out of 5 stars Not bad but be careful January 19, 2013

Texting to a cellphone or GROUP of cellphones from my Kindle is a very useful communications tool for me. For that reason, I like this app very much. 2 Issues I have with it are these...

1) It requires a new telephone number which this developer provides. Depending on how this app is used, that can lead to $$. There's one chance to change the number but those choices really don't make much of a difference.

2) WHO is sending & receiving those texts may also influence charges. Keep an eye on your phone bill. Reading 'tween the lines, I wouldn't be surprised to find some data mining were going on as well.

This is a "free" app but... Read the terms of use. They're not complicated. If this app were loaded on a careless person's Kindle, I could see charges mounting rapidly. A word to the wise...

this app works great on the kindle fire. The response time between send and receive is fast. One downside is regarding the lack of notification when a text comes in. If they can fix that, this would be an awesome app.

Used this app to text three people. Now they are all being spammed with the same offers via text msgs. it appears this company builds a database of mobile numbers that you provide and then sells or spans them directly. My contacts are all getting the same malware and scamware text messages now at all times of day! Do not install!

I absolutely love this app!:-) it is awesome and right on the key board thing, where the return arrow is, is a thing that looks like this, :-) and its so cool! ♣♦♠♥♪ Mwahaha! i just figured how to do that! u just hold down the sign that says • . So for the texting thing, 1.) You put in the number and 2.) you text! How to add and delet contacts was really confuzing for a while, so you just go to the contacts page and hold down their name to delet it and to add, you get a notepad, ( i have colornote or something) and type in their number. Save their number and when it turns blue, click on it, then add in their names! Hope that helped a little bit to understand what you are getting and how to use it!!!

theres just something really weird to me about this app being able to access all that it can access if you have a kindle fire its a little to much of a risk just buy a phone cuz i think this shots phony until proved legit......... 32 permissions? some sound necessary but then others absolutely do not sound right to me. Maybe I'm just paranoid but better safe then sorry right?
