Alongside quirky acts like Guns and Charoses, Yid Rock and What I Like About Jew sit legends Allan Sherman and Mickey Katz, as well crossover favorites "Weird Al" Yankovic, Mel Brooks and Tom Lehrer. Theyre all part of a great tradition of daring and provocative humor. Now That Sounds Kosher! showcases some originators of Jewish musical humor, as well as todays comics who continue to give pop music a Yiddish spin.

I had listened to Hanukkah songs on Sirius Radio over the holidays and I found out some of these song titles. I searched Amazon and found this CD. I have played it many times and laughed. I even have memorized some of the lyrics and sing along. Thanks Amazon for making many products like this available at a reasonable price and many items qualify for free shipping. I am a very satisfied returning customer.

It brought my childhood back to me in London where I lived such a happy life not only with my mother and father but also my grandmother and two aunts and this kind of music was played all the time - especially as my father was a musician and played the saxaphone, clarinet and violen and also played in a band

Tom Lehrer is the best. If you hear this cut...you will have it happily in your head. And if you like Jewish comedy... go find the CD --- You Don't Have to be Jewish. It is a whole album of classics... Enjoy!
