Doesn't matter to me. With a $20 promo credit it's a no brainer to pre order on Amazon.

I will be mad if they don't offer it. I ended up not buying it on Amazon last year because it was not offered.

must have release date! curse you Amazon!

Still don't see release date delivery for 99 cents and now they've changed the promo from 20 bucks to 10. What gives?

I changed the shipping speed for mine to release date delivery, I don't get why they changed the pre-order credit from $20 to $10. They're still offering $20 for Madden and FIFA 12

Do we still get the $20 credit if we pre-order when it was 20 or do we only get 10 now?

StreetSavage says:
^^^ It looks like we only get $10 now. Which isn't fair because Madden and FIFA still have $20 promo credits with release date delivery.

I was wondering the same thing about the $20 credit. I did a live chat with someone from Amazon, and they looked up my order. They said, "I've checked the order and see that $20 promotional credit will be applied to this order." Apparently, as long as you pre-ordered prior to the change from $20 to $10, you will receive $20. NHL 12, release-date delivery, and $20 promo = good deal.

Why did they take away the $20 credit? Many people don't like to preorder games this far in advance...to my knowledge it is unlike Amazon to decrease their preorder bonuses.

@D.Evenson: Thanks for that nugget of info, I'm glad you asked about it. I pre-ordered it before they dropped the credit to $10 as well, so I assume that I'll still get the $20 credit.

Thanks for the info D. Evenson.

You will get the $20 credit.
The promotion changed for the orders placed now.
I see it was $20 when you placed.
So you'll get the $20 promotion credit.
I see the order placed using the two day shipping so you'll get the order on Sep 16, 2011

I was just upgraded at no cost for release date shipping! Good job Amazon.

^^^Sweet deal on the no cost upgrade to release date delivery for you. I chatted with a custom rep and was told I too will still get the $20 credit. I had already upgraded my shipping from standard to release date for the extra dollar.

S. Waterbury says:
I just checked mine. They have changed it to release date shipping but now it says 2 day shipping. Will receive it 9/16 and not 9/13? What gives?

S. Waterbury says:
They just changed it BACK to release date shipping. For those that have had them change it, you may want to look and see if it was changed back to 2 day shipping like mine had been.

Tadd Jawor says:
I had to just change mine back to release day shipping again, otherwise it was showing one day shipping and it coming on the 15th.

Hey guys sorry for hijacking the thread. How do you access the cash bonus? I was supposed to get $20 for the Madden preorder but I don't know where to find it. Cheers!

D. Evenson says:
@Mitchell:

You buy something. It will be applied during checkout on applicable purchases.

Shouldn't the credit show up in our "gift card balance" ? It seems like I didn't even get the bonus.

@ Jason

Check your e-mail. You would have received an something saying:

Your recent order xxx-xxxxxxx-xxxxxxx entitles you to a promotional credit which we have added to your account. This credit can be applied to your next qualifying purchase.

It doesn't show up anywhere, that I know of, until you try to buy something. If you really want to check, put something in your cart and checkout, but don't actually purchase it. You should have an option to apply the promo credit.
