A few concerns over this order and i hope that anyone from Amazon to give a definitive response to these questions. that would be great! I pre-ordered mine in august, and it is still in my open orders.
But first off, the big question is, will i be receiving my Halo 4 LE like i pre-ordered? like many other eager customers, i went ahead and pre-ordered the Limited Edition of Halo 4 and I was notified of a change in my order. i want to know if i am getting my order fulfilled?
Second, if we are going to receive the game, then will it be same day order? my open orders page say it will be same day on 11/6.
If anyone has any information that would be great. i will probably try to contact CS soon if i don't hear anything. thanks!
The whole LE situation is still weirding me out. My preorder from May still doesn't have RDD (it just says it will be delivered on 11/6), CS gave me a canned response about the LE being out of stock and to check back later (...I'm not trying to buy it, I already have!), and the link from my order page directs me to the Console edition.
Amazon has lately changed their shipping options, RDD has pretty much converted to "Select 2-day shipping and get it on release date", which is free for Prime customers. I have not had an issue, and have always received my preorder on release date. They usually ship overnight the day before release.
However, I am also seeing that when I click on Halo 4 Limited Edition on my order, it takes me to the Limited Edition Consoles even though the description matches the Limited Edition.
Yupp I feel the same way. It's odd how it takes us to the console bundle instead. if I remember right, when ordering a game for release date delivery, normally amazon let's you know it is in transit or prepared for delivery.
I called Amazon about the LE showing as LE Console, the first rep admitted he did not know anything about video games and thought I was referring to the picture being different (which it is) and said I should not be concerned with the pictures. He said the LE showed as "Xbox 360 Limited Edition Console" because that's the console it's meant to be played on. I knew this was not the case because the actual listing for the console says the same thing. I thanked him and ended the call since I knew I was not going to get anywhere with him.
I then received my "Did we solve your issue?" e-mail and clicked No, then got the option for a callback; which in my experience usually means you get a more experienced or upper tier rep.
She immediately saw what I meant and how both the LE and the LE Console had the same edition name. She said it was probably just a mix up with the listing and that she would pass the information forward so it can be corrected.
Hopefully they will correct it soon, but she did say I should have no reason to believe that I am getting anything but what I ordered.
I talked to an customer service rep awhile ago. I ordered when it was first announced and still set for a 6th release date. I just wanted to be sure there would be no delays. She mentioned that people should order a week before or so for release date shipping, but I'm not sure if that means anything. As long as I get the game Tuesday, I'm good.
I ordered the Limited Edition, the standard edition (for my brother), and Black Ops 2. When I checked the Halo 4 amazon page it said "Want to receive this the day it comes out? Order it in the next 22 hours and 1 minute, and choose One-Day Shipping at checkout" So I told them "When I preordered it, it said select 2 day shipping for release day delivery." they then changed all 3 of my game orders to one day shipping for free.
just talked to a rep now and they said they have not received any of the halo 4 limited editions yet, and told me my order would be delayed to the 7th. not sure if anybody else got this, but i did get free 1 day shipping out of this
it does seem like a majority of reps are pretty clueless about things now. amazon used to have really good reps, and now they're still good, but not great like they used to be.
i had to repeat and rephrase my question about 10 times before i got the information i wanted out of them. it's almost like they don't really read what you write and instead just look for the canned phrase that gets you to stop bothering them.

I received a phone call a few seconds later. The rep told me that the game's delivery date is still scheduled for tomorrow, yet it still has not shipped. She stated that item will ship and be delivered tomorrow. I will receive a call back at 5 PM EST to confirm whether or not I received the shipment.
Of course if I don't receive it I will be making good on my promise to contact the BBB and I will be calling back and asking for supervisor after supervisor until someone hand delivers the game or they offer me enough in gift cards that I could purchase the game. I'll update what happens...
I chatted with CS, and they said that orders are shipped on a "first come, first served basis" .. so please tell me how a person who orders in July is considered "first" before a person who ordered in May?
First come first served?, then how did people who ordered in October get their orders shipped before mine, amazon is just making excuses they gave me 2 excuses already, no release day shipping, and hurricane Sandy.....
Pibe38, i just talked to a different amazon rep and they told me the official release date is unknown and they will notify me when the game is available. Than i decided to try one more time because i was curious see to what they would say, and the last rep i talked to told me i should get it tomorrow. so, not to be rude to amazon or anything, but i don't beleive they are well informed or know very much about there own items they sell. so all i can do is wait and see or maybe i will just re-order the regular edition

man i hope the game comes tomorrow i pre ordered my Limited Edition on Amazon on September 6 and it said shipping soon if also living in Phoenix will it affect Arizona too just because of the hurricane sandy? if i dont get it tomorrow im going to be pissed
