For more than twenty years, my fingernails have been soft and peeling off in layers like nail polish! I finally read about white iodine in Heloise's Hints. Within the first week of using it daily, the iodine bonded the peeling layers together! But took several months (until they had completely grown out to grow as strong and unbreakable as they are now. According to Heloise you're supposed to use it daily for one week and then after that once a week. I now (after a year and a half) only apply it once every two or three months! If you continue to use it too often it apparently makes nails too brittle!

After many calls to local pharmacies and medical vendors, I finally found Colorless Iodine on your site. So excited, I ordered 4!!! Shipment was very fast, however, when I opened the bottle, it smelled like ammonia so I took the items to 2 local pharmacies to verifiy authenthicity. Both said the odor was a bit strong. One said it burnt her nose. Both said Decolorized Iodine Tincture should have the scent of "alcohol." Needless to say, I'm afraid to use it. Someone recommended Colorless Iodine but I've never seen it to know if this is normal, so I think I'm going to make contact and request a refund. Oh! I was so happy to receive the package, I placed some of the product on a couple of areas and it tingles. Afterwards, I smelled it. I know...backwards. Good luck to anyone who purchases it.

I read about white iodine being good for your nails. I asked all our local pharmacies and department stores and couldn't find it. In fact our one pharmacy told me they couldn't get it in. I am using it on my nails now and they are improving.

The item was only a couple of bucks and the shipping was almost $8.00. For a small bottle of Iodine, that was too much.

I ordered Iodides, what received was a bottle of ammonia. Didn't save the shipping envelope. Any company that would send ammonia and not iodides ordered, not going to return payment. Will use this as a learning experience.

I wanted this product to put on my nails to strengthen them. I tried to find this at several drugstores; they did not carry this product.

It was so easy to find and order this product from Amazon. I received it in the mail quickly and am very happy with it. I just wish I would have ordered more than one bottle.

A recent magazine article praised colorless iodine as a nail strengthener, so I decided to try it. The writer said the product was very inexpensive and available at drugstores.

After many phone calls, I found it locally at only one pharmacy, at a price six times that mentioned in the article!

An online search located the product at a very reasonable price--even with shipping. I placed an order and received it in only a few days.

What a difference only a few applications have made! My nails are noticeably stronger, with no more splitting or breakage. My daughter tried the colorless iodine on her nails and has gotten similar results.

I highly recommend colorless iodine for problem nails.

I purchased white iodine after some research said how beneficial it was in helping to harden soft, weak finger nails. I applied it faithfully for several weeks, and it did NOTHING. It may work for some others, but not for me.

I purchased this product because I read it would help weak, brittle nails get strong again. I have had some type of gel, wrap, etc. on my nails for over twenty years, removed them one year ago, and this was the only thing that actually made them stop breaking and splitting. As I type this, my nails are long and strong. I Applied once a night for about two weeks, then once or twice weekly after that.

My nail were splitting constantly. I followed direction from Dr Gott, every day for 10 days then only once a week. My nails are much better.
