ARMED TO THE TOOTH, November 26, 2002
A Kid's Review
= Durability:4.0 out of 5 stars = Fun:5.0 out of 5 stars = Educational:5.0 out of 5 stars
This review is from: Armada Supercons - Demolisher (Toy)
Demolisher is one of my favorite Transformers actionfigure.
Transformation is simple and really fun.And his action fea-
tures are some of the best.In vehicle mode his minicon Bla-
ckout can sit in a chair like section on the back of Demo-
lisher and act as a driver. And you can attach him to his
left turret and fire two missiles, but the other just acts
as storage for the other 2 missiles. But in top of each tu-
rret the are five laser blasters. The robot mode`s only gi-
mmmick are the missile launchers. And the 10 laser blasters
have become his fingers.how cool is that?Demolisher is a
very fun toy but his joints feel more loose than other
Armada toys but he`s still very cool.I recommmend him to
anyone.

Demolisher--A Walking Battle Tank, August 17, 2002
= Durability:4.0 out of 5 stars = Fun:5.0 out of 5 stars = Educational:1.0 out of 5 stars
This review is from: Armada Supercons - Demolisher (Toy)
Demolisher is one of the first wave in the new Armada line for Transformers. Like other first wave toys, he has an indication of how cool the line can be, but he also suffers from some problems.
Vehicle mode is really cool, a futuristic tank/battle station. He's got everything from missile launchers (only one arm fires though, the other holds the missiles), to finger guns, to treads, to a little chair for a Minicon. The top part can be moved, but that's about it. The fun part about him is that he can do a lot of other alt modes, not limited to the base they show in the instructions. Fans have made a stun gun, a chicken walk mode, a chaired tank mode, and an ED-209 out of him.
As for Blackout, Demolisher's Minicon, he's also pretty nifty, as are all the Minicons. Not much to say about him, other than that he does have the ability to have his guns/arms to the side or on top in vehicle mode, giving him two different looks for such a simple change. He can be attached to Demolisher in vehicle mode and "launched" though he doesn't get past Demolisher's legs and doesn't go far. It's more fun to put him in the chair, really.
Robot mode is neat two for Demolisher, though with less fan alt modes (I'm sure the imaginative will come up with a few) and less posability it's really his looks that carry him. Unlike Cyclonus only one hard point on Demolisher does something, in this case it "unlocks" the arm that fires the missiles. By placing a Minicon on that point, his shoulder raises a bit. Pulling down (in robot mode, to the side in vehicle mode) you can launch the missiles. It's nice to have this type of connection point, where the missiles can still be in the launchers when a Minicon is attached and will only fire when you want them too. The other three hard points don't do anything, which is nice also, since you can stick Minicons on them for decoration (trust me, with Blackout and the Land Military team attached to him, he's not a bot to mess with).
You can rotate the arms around to either give him the finger gun hands or use the missiles as longer fingers and rotate the miniguns to serve as shoulder weaponry. Either way works, though I prefer them as finger guns.
