I purchased this item for my iPad 2 and found that it was designed very poorly. There is no cut out for the camera in the back, and the cutout for the front camera doesn't even match up with the camera on the iPad, thus you would have to take the iPad out of the case to even use either camera. This is not ideal as to use the camera for video chats you will have to take it out of the case and that makes it rather hard to have a steady picture and needless to say, makes the case a complete waste of money.

The space for the iPad was not snug at all and it slid around constantly. Once I decided to send it back I had a thought and put my Mothers 1st generation iPad in it and it fit it perfectly. I am not sure if they actually designed this case or if they took the ones for the original iPad and just cut out the hole for the front camera. Either way this case is not a good fit in many aspects for the iPad 2. I am not happy about this product, but my Mom is, she just got a new iPad case and in the long run as long as she is happy I am cool with it - just want others to know that it is not a good fit at all with the iPad2.

in so many reviews of the tyPad case, the biggest problem people had was no shift key on the right. Gen2 solves this.

We bought this for the keypad which is a necessity for anyone who plans to do any serious typing. The bluetooth connection was unusually easy and took Mrs. B all of 5 minutes to set up. But the real bonus is the hard leather case which provides great protection to your ipad and serves as a stand as well. I know quite a few people who don't use well-constructed cases for their ipad and iphone because they don't want to "ruin the look." Most of them have scratched phones and/or cracked screens.

This isn't the cheapest option or the most stylish - but it's one of the best if you are looking to carry your ipad around town and use it to take notes, etc.

First seemed like a good product. After first time plugging it in to charge the charge port didn't work. to further inspect the port it wasn't even attached and came right out of the housing.

The TyPad is useful however, the keyboard isn't user friendly, doen't allow for free-flow typing, meaning you, must with great effort (relatively speaking), punch each key otherwise one key stroke gets you double letters. You can easily end up with something that looks like this: "Thhe Catt Inn TThe Haatt." You cannot type without looking at the keyboard that's for sure. It's also very bulky, countering the sleek design of the IPad. Still, I find it useful taking notes in meetings. Once though, it started eracing my notes as if the "back" key was stuck. Not a good thing, fortunately someone else had taken notes with pen and pad.

The only time this case comes in handy is if you are on a flat surface like a table. You cannot use it on your lap as the ipad will keep falling over. It works fine, it is just not practical as if you are using it on a flat surface you might as well just buy a bluetooth keyboard.

I love this case. I had searched for something more than just the standard Apple cover. I saw a review of the Typad case on CNET.com. I liked what I saw and bought it. A coworker bought hers when she saw mine. It does take some getting use to typing on a smaller keyboard. But those of us who have netbooks are already used to that. If you spill liquid on the keyboard it's not a problem. It won't hurt your keyboard. I've been very happy with mine. Once the keyboard is charged it can last up to two weeks depending on how often you turn it on to use it. The only drawback for some might be that you can't adjust the angle of viewing. However, I've not found this to be a problem for me. The angle works just fine.
