i purchased with 8gb micro sd card. it has 2gb internal mem. here are the facts they dont tell you. it records in 30 min. segments, audio or video.
audio - will record four hours and twenty min. before battery dies. recorded nine audio .wav files. each 29 min. .wav file was 6.95mb. total size 60.5 mb. sound quality is poor. but the files didnt have any break between them while playing in media player playlist. i just pressed start and let it run untill the batteries run out. unfortunatly it doesnt work that way with video.
video - now for the really bad news. video looks good for 640x480 outdoors. but, white balance shifts constantly(color tint) which i found very annoying. it gets worse. video files are 30 min also and the size ranges from 680mb to 2gb per file. with the average being 1 or 2 gb per 29min .avi file(it never reaches thirty). since its an .avi file it should be easy to work with, but that wasnt the case. acording to video inspecter video codec is ibm motion jpeg, 4051 kbps, 25 fps. quality 0.54 b/px. audio codec intel dvi adpcm. sample rate 8000 hz. bitrate 32 kbps. ive been looking for days and cant find this ibm motion jpeg codec to download. AND NO SOFTWARE IS INCLUDED! the internal and external flash memory has FAT32 file system, which is insane , since FAT32 CANT HANDLE LARGE FILE SIZES. IT SHOULD BE NTFS. vlc media player wont play the .avi files. THAT WAS THE FIRST CLUE THIS THING WAS A POS. windows media player will play the video with no audio. the only players i had that would work were nero showtime and zoom player. IF YOU ARNT A VIDEO GEEK YOU WILL PROBABLY BE DRIVEN INSANE, BECAUSE OF NON STANDARD CODECS THE THING USES. I HAVE THE CODEC PACKS INSTALLED THAT ARE RECOMENDED IN THE FAQ FILE SUPPORT ON THEIR WEBSITE. STILL WONT WORK. THE LINKS TO CODECS ON THEIR SITE SEND YOU TO INTERNET HELL. YOU NEVER GET THE CODEC YOU ARE LOKING FOR, YOU JUST KEEP GETTING SENT FROM PAGE TO PAGE, WITH NOTHING TO DOWNLOAD. ALSO WEBCAM FEATURE DOESNT WORK. the red light doesnt blink while charging, it just stays red, which is supposed to indicate full charge. i havnt bothered to try to convert one yet. im GOING TO RETURN it. now for the really bad news, it wont record video continously untill the batteries run out. battery life for video is one hour fifty min. with total file size from 5.5gb to 6.5 gb. only the first file will play. all the others are carupted and unplayable. it records to external flash mem first, then goes to internal. according to instructions you have to press stop and the lights blink while its saving file. im thinking thats why it wont record continiously. so you probably have to limet your recordings to less than 30 min. and press the stop button. instructions say you get red light blinking for low battery, but was using at the time and blue recording light just went out.i got it for continous recording and now find its useless for what i want to do. also the case is sealled with no provision for changing the battery when it dies. making this esentially a hundred dollar disposible camera.
on the pluse side object are in focus as close as a foot away or closer, maybe eight inches. i was able to record my computer screen from about a foot away and read the text. it has an led light that is not very bright and wouldnt help the picture for something more than an arms length away.
my final opinion minimal instructions and no support. its like having a cell phone video, with out the phone. you would use it for the same things you would use cell phone video for. way over priced and over hyped. PASS ON THIS, DONT BUY IT. THE FIRST REVIEW WAS PROBABLY A SHILL.

Everything is very good about this little stealth machine, except the battery life, the life is only about 2hrs and the charging time is 3hrs.

If you can accept that then you should get it if you need it.

Worked great right out of the box. Instructions were easy to follow, installation was smooth, and it's simple to use. I like that there's no software included, the AVI files play fine in Windows Media Player and in QuickTime. Picture quality is pretty good....just be careful not to move the camera around too much or the video becomes shaky. Putting it in my shirt pocket produces a better result than using the lanyard. It's also very handy for quick point-and-shoot video since it travels light. I love having the Webcame aspect with the bracket as a bonus!

I've been using this product for a month now and have had zero problems with it and love it. I've read the negative review below and don't think it's really fair. What you're getting with this product is a very very small product that takes good video with sound and is super easy to hook up to the computer and use. It is not a FLIP HD (or something like that) and does not pretend to be (AND DOES NOT COST THE SAME). It's so much smaller than anything else on the market. very stealth-like. Great product.

Tried it- returned it. The video was grainy and of poor quality. Was hoping to use it in well lit indoor environment, video quality was unacceptable.
Amazon return was easy and painless.

I am very impressed with this product. For such a small size, it has amazing video quality! And in response to the guy who said in his review that it "dangles" while wearing it, what did you expect? If you are wearing it on the lanyard while filming, of course it is not going to be a steady shot. I think that what they are trying to imply when advertised as being "wearable" is that it will always be handy, but you still have to actually hold it when filming, or a least secure it to something steady. It does have clips on it for that reason ...

It is very easy to use, and I especially like that there is no complicated software to download and use in order to view the videos. It seems to do well, even in relatively low-lighting indoor conditions.

My only complaints are the battery life- 2 hours can seem to go fast sometimes. Also, I do notice occasionally during playback, the videos "jump" forward, and seem to skip a few frames, not sure why. And at other times, playback will go into slo-motion for a few frames. But basically, I would say 98% of the playback is normal.

Overall, for the price, you get a lot of bang for your buck, and I highly recommend this product, espcially if you are not technically-inclined, because of its ease of use.

It is very disappointing that this ucorder has so many glitch. The software is unstable with this ucorder. Stay away from this product.

I received this product for my birthday a couple of months ago and I have really enjoyed using it. I've always wanted something like this device to catch all the funny things my dog does, and thanks to the ucorder I have been able to do just that. When I go hiking I clip it to his collar and it becomes a doggy camera.
It is very user friendly and it is so compact I can store it anywhere. I would highly recommend it to anyone.
