umi Infant/Toddler Gecko Sandal

My son loved these shoes. He wore them nearly every day from late spring through early fall and they held up very well. His feet were well protected due to the design of the sandals. In late winter, a few months after he stopped wearing these shoes because the weather turned cold, I asked my son which shoes he wanted to wear one day and he came out of his closet with his Umi sandals. I am buying his second pair.

My 18 month old loves these shoes. The straps are long enough for his chubby feet and fit really well. I love the toe guard too. These look great and my son doesn't complain that they are uncomfortable.

I bought these sandals for my son to wear in the house (read every day for months). Here are my pros and cons:

+ Easy to put on / take off.
+ Supports full foot as my son has.
- They turned out to be heavier than I expected (for another son I've got umi's Infant/Toddler Urchin Fisherman Sandals

- Velcro got worn out very quickly and it was not usable at all! I had to replace the Velcro.

My son has just started walking so I've bought a few pair of hard-soled shoes. Apparently he has a thick foot (not wide) and cannot wear most Robeez Tredz, so I was ecstatic to find these shoes, which fit him perfectly! He wears them with and without socks, and I love that the toe is covered since he still sometimes crawls, and I'd hate to have him dragging his toes along the cement. They're also very easy to get on him, which is always a bonus!

Good and sturdy sandles. Easy and soft for my son's legs. He like it a lot. Thumbs up to this sandals

I ordered the 25s (US size 8.5), but size 25 is noted on the shoe bottom as US size 7.5...The box reads that the size 25 is US size 8.5. I ordered big for summer, but he's just wearing them now with socks and loves them!!! Not sure if it was an error on the shoe or the box, just a note to mind the size when the shoes arrive.
