The last pair of Umi shoes we got for our girls were so comfortable, we wanted to try again. But this shoe is very stiff and the back is too high it digs into her ankles. Cute, but we are sending these back.

Love this shoe! You have to water proof them before wearing them! We used a leather care spray. My daughter tried them on As soon as she saw them and somehow in the house got a water mark on them with in 10 minutes. Now after they have been treated she wears then to school while jumping in puddles and playing at water tables with no worries.

I bought the rasberry color of this shoe, size 27 for my 3 1/2 year old. (They are rough leather, not patent like the dark red and black styles.) These shoes run a bit more narrow than other brands, which is perfect for our daughter. The leather is high quality and the detailing is perfect. I love the rubber toe- it has prevented the usual scuffing. The padded heel and soft insole make this shoe a great buy, and very comfortable. My daughter loves them, and hasn't quit telling us so. She won't wear any other shoe. These are our first UMIs and we won't be buying anything else again.
