The phone is rugged. it is water resistant. it does have the qwerty keypad. IT has one BIG flaw. its only jack is the mini USB. So you cannot use any real headphones/ non Bluetooth hands free on it. The music playback in convoluted. you can reach your MP3 files and play them, but you cannot select whole albums/files and just let them play. Could never get opera mini to work right, so while I could get to web pages on wifi using the regular explorer, I could not access most of what was on those pages as they were too big for the phones tiny system. and adding a 16 gig microSD did not change this. After about six months, the only jack (the aforementioned mini USB) began to misbehave. It would register headphones being plug in and out over and over when nothing was happening making it impossible for me to make or receive calls. as it kept sending the sound to hands free devices which were not there.
With the rugged/water-resistant market of cell/smart phones growing as it is, I would recommend anyone interested in getting one bypass this guy and just pay the extra money for something with better software. i.e. from a more reputable company.

I jumped in with both feet and signed up with a new carrier and bought five (5) R620's! If this is your first phone, it is probably a pretty good deal. However - I have 1200 contacts that are easily exported to a vCard file from another program on my PC. This phone only sees the first entry in any vCard file when importing. No user help, no useful manual, no error dialogs, nothing. Similarly, it comes with a PC interface program that written in Italian. I can get around that, except it wants to connect to the phone via COM1 or COM2. The USB drivers that might get around that problem have installation errors. Conclusion - don't count on being able to import contacts from any other device. I'm using mine with basic Talk and Text. My total monthly bill for five phones is very low which is why I made the switch.

Update after 5 days: I eventually figured out how to import contacts, no thanks to the manual. 1.) Export to many vCard files from Windows Contacts, 2.) copy all files to the phone (via USB mass storage), then 3.) import from cell phone menus. It works. Updated to 3 stars because I also discovered how to integrate my Gmail into this phone via WiFi and I don't need a data plan to do it. It won't make 4 stars because email is barely usable with too much header information displayed and there's no way to customize what is viewed.
