Sure, and it works great. On the camera, start playing the video and press "SET" button anytime to freeze the video. Then, on the Control, ring press the right side of the ring to advance one frame or the left side to go back one frame. After downloading to the computer and viewing with Quicktime the right & left arrows do the same thing. However, if you want to post or study high speed videos on Youtube be aware that because of the video compression used by Youtube you can't view single frame-by-frame viewing. It jumps many frames or maybe just a few if you are quick enough using the mouse. Too bad with that great collection of high speed videos.
