Each time I listen to this album, I find a deep sound that never fails to move me. His voice is all you need to hear, yet the arrangements and textures of the music enhance his effect. This is one of my most favorite CDs and I hope to attend a concert by this talented musician some day. I can't tell you how velvety his voice is! You'll have to hear it for yourself!

I have both of Geoff's CD's and have seen him play live. He has excellent energy in his music, and his lyrics are thoughtful.

Sometimes his songs overflow with joy. Other times they are quite poignant and sad. His lyrics always flow smoothly, and have none of the stilted turns of phrase so often found in music written by artists of lesser talent and quality.

I think this man deserves a place in the forefront of the American music scene.

Buy this album. You will enjoy it.

You won't be disappointed in this CD. Great person. Great music. Great listening.

Geoff's vulnerable side is something to behold. I am amazed and it is one cd to listen to over and over. He has such a rich voice, and emotions are high listening to his Tribute to Mahalia Jackson.
He does have soul rhythm and blues in his blood.
