This review is from: The war everyone lost--and won: America's intervention in Viet Nam's twin struggles (Paperback)
Interesting book! It has a new method of describing the war and its results! Many years ago I met a two economists from the Russian Federation and we discussed the support their country sent to Viet Nam during the Vietnam War. One of them said that he believed that one of the primary reasons the Soviet Union went bust was their support of too many wars of liberation around the world and then supporting the new communist regimes. But the Vietnam War and afterward was especially expensive for them and many people in Russia believe it was the one that bankrupted the Soviet Union. Maybe this can be added to a revised edition of this book?
