It's funny that you names two CBS shows. On a positive note, ABC and NBC are both very generous with their offerings of shows on HuluPlus. The down side is that CBS is not. They do not put their shows on any of the Roku apps that we have found. You can get full seasons of those shows when that season has ended on Netflix (which we do access on Roku), but to watch current CBS shows, we do use our computers or iPads. In regards to sports, there are several sports apps, but we have yet to find one that actually streams live games. Again, probably something you woud have to watch on your computer or other device for live streaming. On a positive note, when you want to do this, you can always hook that device up to the TV. I would give the Roku 4 out of 5 stars. It's a FANTASTIC way to cut monthly costs. We were paying almost $100 a month just for TV and we didn't have a premium package. It was ridiculous. So, yes, I've given a couple of things up, but I honestly don't feel like I've missed much.
One more thing, even for the ABC and NBC shows, you have to wait till the day after the show has aired to view the show on the Roku and you have to have a HuluPlus account to do this ($7.99/mos.). But they are in HD and there is a plethora of networks that offer shows. You can go to Hulu's website to check it our before you commit.
