I have used various kinds of divinatory cards for almost 30 years now, and these are the ones I turn to the most when I need to ask my subconcious a question. These cards, as Tarot cards, are tools we use to tap into the depths of ourselves in order to see where we are going, why we are where we are, or what we will do in regards to certain situations.

All people have the ability to "know their future", it's simply a matter of tuning into the knowledge we all have buried within us. Cartouche cards are tools we can use to access this information and use it to better our own lives. I like the archetypes provided by Hope, don't agree with the previous reviewer that they're not accurate. They are useful and resonate, can't ask more than that! Go for it, you won't be disappointed.

I have been reading Cartouche cards since 1984 (15 years) when the original small decks of Cartouche cards were published. I graduated to "The Way of Cartouche" to get a deeper insight into the meanings of the symbology, but I prefer the smaller, more convenient decks published by Ostaris Publications. Cartouche has profoundly changed my life and the lives of others who use them and appreciate their simplicity and directness.

I have been using Cartouche for 12 years. It has been a great teacher of life for me. As far as it's guidance in my life, I trust it with my daughters and my LIFE. Thanks to Cartouche I have been able to no the "GODS" in ways that others are still taking the hard way to discover. As an example I have done "meditations" in where I have experienced a rush of intense LOVE flow within every cell of my body. Just remember for those who understand that these things are not here to mystify our lives into wanting to seek other "levels" or "beings" out there somewhere, it's really all about here and now.

This was my first divination set I obtained in 1986. Wow, time flies. Anyways, this set presented much information regarding Egypt and its Gods. True, there have been many books to come out since, that provide deeper knowledge regarding this form of magical practice. This one will always remain near and dear to my heart.

The book still is on my bookshelf and I keep my well worn cards for sentimental reasons. In its day, divining with these cards was always accurate. I even used to carry some of the cards to difficult exams and pass! The simplicity alone is very beneficial. I always felt I was endowed with great knowledge of ancient Egypt. I changed majors to art history at one point.

What I really want to stress here is how I used to read the cards for family and friends. The astrology spread would carry over to bigger and better things. The actual practice with these easy to learn cards led me to studies in astrology, numerology, and most important-Tarot. I have since become a professional Tarot reader/student.

Murry Hope is a little far out with some of this New Age theory. There is much provided that one can take and run with. I did to much success. It is a shame that this great oracle deck has gone out of print. I would gladly advise new student who want to try Tarot to look at this first.

For people who want to know tomorrow, today. This is a great book if you are interested in an oracle that doesn't have a negative bend. Unlike tarot, which can give you the heebie jeebies, Cartouch is a cool tool to use for meditation and more. The book can help you improve your "reading" skills. You should have the cards or it won't make sense or be needed.

I really enjoy using Cartouche. This Egyptian- based system is much easier to use than that of traditonal tarot. It works very well for me and I am able to do insightful readings for myself and others.

This book has taught me a lot about Egypt. Another good Murry Hope book.

This book has only one handy use: as a doorstop -- and even then you might not want to do that since it would alert your neighbors to the fact that you actually OWN it. Neither recommended nor advised. If you really want to know about Egyptian "magic" check out Bob Brier's book. Anyone who's spent so much as an hour seriously studying Egypt, however, knows what a load of hooey this book is!
