5.0 out of 5 stars WELL WORTH THE WAIT!
This CD is not available locally at this time - except locally where they play - so it took a few weeks to get. But Celtic Soul is good enough to be distributed nationally in my opinion! I am very happy with most if not all of the songs on the CD. Some of the songs are beautifully mellow and others are fun and upbeat, but all have a celtic sound to them. I'm glad I...

3.0 out of 5 stars Sounds like mainstream rock to me.
In my opinion the only worthwhile song is The Mills are Grinding, other than that everything else sounds like the pablam for the masses stuff you can hear on any radio station. If you are looking for real driving celtic rock this is not it.

I'm glad I discovered them in my search at Amazon.com for Celtic music. I'll be keeping my eye out for new releases from this band!

4.0 out of 5 stars Celtic in a cowboy hat., July 8, 2003
This review is from: wee blue man (Audio CD)
"Wee Blue Man" is a successful blend of styles, and the talent of Celtic Soul's members makes the album a delight from start to finish. While not a suitable recording for dyed-in-the-wool traditionalists, anyone with an open mind and a love for good music will find plenty to enjoy here.

5.0 out of 5 stars Music you move to!, December 1, 2001

This is a refreshing recording! The lyrics and music are irrisistable to sit still to. You find yourself repeating the chorus after only one time through. The stories within the lyrics are fun to tune in to. Yet, within these tunes you still here the strong celtic influence. I would recommend Celtic Soul's "Wee Blue Man" to all music lovers.

5.0 out of 5 stars Celtic Rock at it's best, March 3, 2011
This review is from: wee blue man (Audio CD)
I've owned this CD for several years. The band is no more, but if you can buy this don't hesitate. Most CD's run their course, go up on the shelf and are forgotten. This one still gets played. "Think of Me" with it's driving rock beat, harmony vocal, and awesome lyrics really puts it like it is when you daydream about the good times of lost love. "Nothing on my Mind", really cool piano, a little burst of Irish fiddle here and there, even a whistle. One you've cleared your mind, practice some jigs on the instrumental "Old Hag". Really an awesome CD.

5.0 out of 5 stars Jana Light rawks!!, February 13, 2002

Jana Light rawks! This girl can sing. She has the most amazingly beautiful voice I have ever heard and she rights some great tunes. Can't wait to hear their next album. I hope she really lets loose. Since this lady shows us on this album how easily she can sing like anyone from Natalie Merchant to Bjork it's obvious she hasn't even scratched the surface of her vocal range. Haven't heard someone with a voice this rich since Iris Dement. Buy thi album. You'll be listening to it for years to come and you'll be in the know on the next big thing.
