Screen resolution is the same as the Galaxy TAB 2: 1024 x 600. The big differences between the old TAB 2 and the new TAB 3 is that the new tablet is a little lighter, a bit thinner, has a 1.3 mp front camera and a 3 mp rear camera and you can add up to a 64 gb micro chip for a total of 72 gb total memory storage. The old TAB 2 only allowed up to 32 gb for a total of 40 gb total memory storage and the TAB 2 had a VGA front camera and 3 mp rear camera.

I honestly don't see the need for this. It's only a marginal update to the Tab 2. As things stand, I'd much rather keep my Tab 2 and ignore the Tab 3. I do realize that Android 4.2.2 is going to be the last official update to the Tab 2. But, I already have 4.2.2 on mine since it is rooted and I have CyanogenMod installed. So I'm not worried about not being up to date for a little while.
