Is it clear to anyone that the "point in the circle" (sun/gold) or "counterpunct" was or wasnt the lost symbol--you know the one that Gordo painted onto his fontenelle? Or was there a lost word masquerading as a lost symbol because we all know it already? Im confused as was Gordo? When exactly did it get lost--during the writing of the book?
it is the symbol of Ra ... the circumpunct... but Dan did not reveal its original meaning . It is found in an Egyptian tomb and it is a star... the star of RA ... the secret blazing stor of Freemasonry... here it is exposed :
BL--thanks a bunch for this excellent website!!! i had seen it a couple weeks ago but did not make the obvious connection you did. Maybe the DB book can in fact be useful in directing us to more substantive solutions to the Puzzle? Chance favors the prepared mind...good call/rg IF it was lost(?) I suppose now its found...
The lost symbol probably was never meant to exist...
I see alot of people dont understand the title because they are forgetting the driving force of the book, which was zacheries delusion. he actually believed there was this lost word of power that would make him a god. all the transformations he did was to make himself a worthy sacrafice, and he wanted the lost word of power to finish the job.
The lost symbol probably does represent the circumpunct, but it was, as we know, not the word of power, but a ruse by peter solomon to throw the monster his son became off. I am growing to the idea the title is a refernce to the villians delusion.
The solomon key was obviously the capstone given to langdon by peter 'solomon', and was the key to deciphering the masonic pyramid.
The Masonic pyramid is also represented in ones Natal (astrology) chart. One can be born with a Grand Trine configuration in the stars . Some are born with a Star of David in ones natal chart. It is a legend about the sons of God and or the next birth of Christ.
Read the last page of the book...Dan says right there that God is what is lost....his version of god (the human mind, not an actual god), symbolized by the circle within the circle. But if that is the case, why in the world would the Masons in the book be trying to secret that knowledge away? It never made any sense to me why the Masons would need to encode this knowledge in a little pyramid codex of sorts. Big whoop...so Masons think god is the human mind. It doesn't seem like something they need to secret away. God=power of human mind= possible destructive or constructive power. Ok, people do this every day with their actual ACTIONS.
Yeah, I got no idea. The book didn't make it clear. I guess the lost symbol was the bible, but the book made it sound like it was a special version of the bible in the cornerstone of the Washington monument. So that version was special because it held secrets in there? but they never got it out of cornerstone.
Also, what was the whole point of going to the top of the capitol at the end? What did they learn? they just got an appreciation for seeing the sun rise?
Maybe it was like Raiders of the Lost Ark when Harrison Ford inserted the magic jewel in his magic staff and the sun shone thru the jewel onto the city of Babylon? Didnt it show where the treasure was hidden? Just a guess...
Who knows what Mr. Brown intended the title to mean, but I would like to propose that Peter Solomon's son (Mal'akh) was The Lost Symbol. Lost to his father for years, he gradually tattooed himself into a living symbol bent on revenge.
Yes and no. "The word" wasn't just the bible, it was ALL of the sacred words in all of the sacred texts throughout history. It was the knowledge interspersed in all of them that we are the gods and the power we have in our minds and thoughts is far more than we realize. The final idea was that we create our own reality and only we can truly effect the changes we want.
